You might like to visit Lake Taupo where the infamous Lord of the Rings' Mt. Doom is situated. Alternatively, you could visit Te Puia T hermal Reserve. Te Puia spans 70 hectares within the historic Te Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley, on the edge of Rotorua. It is home to the world famous Pōhutu geyser, mud pools, hot springs and silica formations. You will also nd the native Kiwi bird and the national schools of aboriginal wood carving, weaving, stone and bone carving. Later, meet your hosts who you will be staying with for the remainder of your time in New Zealand.
