We will visit Kings Park and the Botanical Gardens for an insight into Australia s bushland and native flora and fauna, before heading to the coast to experience the beach lifestyle enjoyed by so many Australians. As the sun sets, you will feast on a gourmet barbeque, served with complimentary wine, beer and soft drinks. Following breakfast, we take a base tour of the Rock including the Mala Walk and Mutitjulu Waterhole and visiting the Cultural Centre. Later, we transfer to the airport for the flight to Cairns. On arrival, transfer to the Sebel Hotel where we check in for a four night stay. The Sebel Hotel is centrally located, close to the marina and Cairns restaurant and shopping district. *Passengers choosing this option may not partake in brochured touring activities and meals, alternative meals and activities will be included. We take a high speed catamaran to our pontoon moored on the Outer Barrier Reef, where you can enjoy snorkelling under supervision (all equipment provided), coral and sea life viewing from a semi-submersible boat and fish and coral viewing from an underwater observatory. A delicious smorgasbord lunch is served onboard the pontoon. One of the highlights of today will be an included helicopter flight over the Outer Barrier Reef. This scenic flight will give you a bird s eye view of one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and is sure to provide many fantastic photo opportunities., Lunch DAY 13 CAIRNS Today we journey into the rainforest to the picturesque village of Kuranda, nestled amidst lush tropical forest and on the banks of the Barron River. DAY 14 CAIRNS - MELBOURNE This morning we fly to Melbourne and on arrival transfer to the Crown Promenade Hotel, ideally located on the South Bank of the Yarra River, for a two night stay.
