2 DAY 2: AUCKLAND/WAITOMO CAVES/ROTORUA Leaving Auckland, travel to the Waitomo caves. Take a silent boat ride through a mystical grotto, lit by thousands of tiny glow worms. Then continue to Rotorua, a centre of Maori culture famous for its geothermal activity. Tonight, enjoy a feast that is cooked in an earth oven known as a hangi pit. Rejoin your coach and travel via the stunning landscapes of Marlborough and Kaikoura to Christchurch.
