With its unique volcanic landscape, living Maori culture and natural hot springs, Rotorua is one of New Zealand s most famous

2 destinations. Enroute visit the Waitomo Caves in the lush Waikato region. Enroute enjoy hot lunch at an Indian restaurant. Marvel at Mother Nature s light display, as you glide silently through the starry wonderland caves of Glow-worm situated undergroundalong the Waitomo River and gaze in silence at the myriad of glow-worm lights that make up the Glow-worm Grotto. As you enter this galaxy of tiny living lights, you will immediately experience a serene ambience and be fascinated and intrigued by tiny glow-worms that light your way. After a delicious breakfast, proceed for a Rotorua tour featuring lakefront and Government Gardens with its iconic Old Bath House. You also visit Agrodome which will give you a chance to see through the eyes of a true New Zealand farmer. Witness the Agrodome Sheep Show an exciting and informative insight into the world of New Zealand agriculture, featuring different breeds of sheep, sheep shearing, cow milking, lamb feeding and dog demonstrations. Later get an experience of the farms on your farm tour. Learn about the farming. Opportunity to take photos and hand feed the animals like sheep, cattle, deer, llamas and alpacas. Overnight accommodation at Hotel Novotel or similar in Rotorua DAY 04 Today go on a long drive across the Desert Road to Wellington Breakfast and this day is a bit of a long drive. Next you drive towards Lake Taupo and after taking in some fantastic scenery proceed to Turangi from where the Desert Road starts which is a highway that crosses the alpine desert and the inhospitable weather makes it an interesting route to drive along. Each side of the Desert Road is covered with wonderful low scrublands and on the western rise the majestic backdrop of Mt Ruapehu, Mt Tongariro and Mt Ngauruhoe. There are some plenty of lake-edge stops for photographs, through the beauty of Tongariro National Park while you now proceed towards Wellington. Also view the Huka Falls. At Huka Falls you can witness the phenomenon of natural hydro power. Enroute stop for your lunch. Upon arrival into Wellington, proceed for an orientation tour of Wellington featuring Parliament Buildings, CBD and Port. Also see the Te Papa museum. Overnight accommodation at Hotel James Cook or similar in Wellington Day 05 Proceed from Wellington to Picton by an InterIslander Ferry Travel from North to South of New Zealand and Picton to Christchurch by Tran coastal Train/Ferry Today have an early breakfast as you need to catch the early morning InterIslander Ferry to get to Picton. The ferry has movie theatres and play areas for kids. Upon arrival at Picton you will proceed to board your Tran coastal Train/Ferry for Christchurch. Cruise along scenic Queen Charlotte Sound. 3 DAY 07 Proceed from Mt. Cook to Wanaka. You may choose to experience the Tasman Glacier. Enjoy Puzzling world. Today post breakfast you will check out from your hotel and you may proceed to experience the Tasman Glacier; New Zealand s largest and one of the only accessible glacial lakes containing icebergs in the world! Travel to the Tasman Valley, followed by a alpine walk through the moraine and National Park. The experienced guide will whisk you away across the rapidly growing terminal lake in a stable MAC Boat, taking in spectacular mountain views and scenery and the melting ice-face of the Tasman Glacier. View the Tasman Glacier ice face from a safe distance and icebergs of all shapes and sizes with the opportunity to touch and taste the year old ice crystals. Or you may spend some time at New Zealand s highest mountain, Mount Cook. Next depart Mount Cook and travel down the western side of Lake Pukaki at the foot of New Zealand's tallest mountain - Mount Cook - and onto Tekapo. The views of this alpine region are breathtaking as you head towards the stunning, glacial fed Lake Tekapo. Now you will visit the drive by the incredible views and enter the town of Queenstown. Proceed to Queenstown via Cromwell. Visit Bungee Jump Centre enroute. And get set for an adventurous day Post breakfast you will be taken for a cruise on Lake Wakatipu on the iconic steamship the TSS Earnslaw is undoubtedly one of the best ways to experience Queenstown s famed scenic beauty. The leisurely 90 minute cruise across the lake showcases some of Queenstown s spectacular alpine scenery while offering you plenty of time to explore a piece of Queenstown s living history the 100 year old TSS Earnslaw. You can visit the engine room and see its giant steam engines at work, view the collection of historical photos in our mini-museum, check out the bridge or even join a sing-along with the pianist. Now prepare yourself for the ultimate Jet Boating experience with Shotover Jet - the unique, breathtaking white water ride and adrenaline rush you ll never forget. It s an amazing white water ride, as the Shotover Canyon walls tower over you; your expert driver puts his state-of-the-art Jet Boat through its paces.
