The program includes a range of dynamic presentations delivered by senior members of the judiciary, practitioners and leaders of key legal bodies. The presentations relate directly to the Legal Studies curriculum, and there is a session on how to succeed with Legal Studies assessment tasks and the exam. A full program has been included at appendix a. 3 Venues Morning: (Map included at appendix b) Venue: RMIT (Melbourne City Campus) Kaleide Theatre 360 Swanston St, Melbourne VIC 3000 Afternoon: (Map included at appendix c) Venue: Old Magistrates Court Old Melbourne Gaol (between Victoria Street and La Trobe Street) Street address: 377 Russell Street, Melbourne
2 4 General Food breaks There are two scheduled breaks: morning tea and lunch. Morning tea will be provided by Victoria Law Foundation. Gluten-free options are available. For any other dietary requirements, we recommend that students bring their own food. Lunch is not provided. Students will need to bring their own lunch. There are many places nearby to buy food, but please bear in mind that there is only 40 minutes for lunch. Feedback We have prepared simple feedback forms that we will ask each student and teacher attending to fill out. We would be grateful if you could return any we don t collect on the day to Victoria Law Foundation as we will use this feedback to develop the program. If you, or your students, have any additional feedback, please feel free to contact us after the event. Videos and photographs Our staff may take videos and photographs of teachers and students. The videos and photos are used to report on and promote activities and programs such as Metropolitan Law Talks, and may be published in print and online. Please find a student video and photography permission form attached at appendix d. Please give a copy to each of your students and request that their parent or guardian sign the permission form to allow publication of the photographs from Metropolitan Law Talks.
