4 COMPANY PROFILE PURPOSE AND AIM OF THE COMPANY In 1996 Pty Ltd, formed a multi-disciplinary consultancy team of independent heritage professionals to conduct Aboriginal heritage assessments for Government agencies, private proponents L Councils in compliance with the n Aboriginal Heritage Act The cooperative model forming the ethos behind the business has enabled the company to take advantage of a wide range of skill sets experience, extensive networks within Aboriginal community groups L Councils, has given the company the necessary experience the capacity to service client s needs throughout the state of. Since its inception the company has submitted in excess of 300 Aboriginal heritage assessment survey reports, a multitude of heritage management plans, site recording forms section 18 consent notices to the Department of Aboriginal Affairs in line with the legislative requirements under the Aboriginal Heritage Act s produced by Brad e Pty Ltd have consistently met the requirements of the ACMC when submitted for consideration to support ministerial consent notices under section 18 applications (see Appendix 2: DAA Catalogue of s). Brad e Pty Ltd has a 9 person project team that has the capacity to deliver the requested heritage surveys within the specified time frames. Brad e has consistently met time frames for delivery of projects since its inception. PROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL & ASSOCIATES Mr Brad e is the Managing Director of the company, provides the office support staff is the principal Anthropologist. Mr Brad e has a major in Aboriginal Intercultural Studies from Edith Cowan University a B.A. in Anthropology Sociology from Curtin University. Mr Brad e has a trusted reputation rapport with many Aboriginal communities gained by 21 years of field experience in the South West, Goldfields, Pilbara, the Mid-West Gascoyne, Perth Metropolitan area. Mr Brad e has good working relations with the appropriate Aboriginal l councils that govern native title heritage matters in these regions. Ms Louise Huxtable is an Anthropologist that works in the company conducts female gender specific ethnographic surveys. Ms Huxtable holds a BA (Hons) in Anthropology from the University of has excellent communication skills high a competence in research report writing. Dr Stephen Bennetts has a BA (Hons) from ANU, a MA in Linguistics from Sydney University a PhD from the University of WA. Dr Bennetts has worked extensively in Native Title research in WA the NT has experience in Aboriginal heritage throughout WA. 5 Mr Grant Preller has also recently joined Pty Ltd as a consultant Anthropologist. Mr Preller has a Bachelor of Social Science (Social Psychology) from the University of Cape Town in South Africa Master in Applied Anthropology Participatory Development (Society Environment) from the ANU. Mr Preller was previously with Fortescue Metals Groups Heritage Department, holding both Heritage Approvals Compliance Superintendent Roles. Mr Preller worked across all aspects of Cultural heritage management ranging from the coordination of archaeological ethnographic heritage surveys across the Pilbara, the development implementation of FMG s project-wide cultural heritage management plans, through to preparation, coordination submission of numerous applications to the Department of Aboriginal Affairs under Section 18 of the Aboriginal Heritage Act. Following FMG, Mr Preller moved across to the Roy Hill Project as Lead - Aboriginal Heritage Local Lholder Relations manager. Mr Preller is a full professional member of the Anthropological Society of (see ASWA website). can provide clients with a range of Archaeological services. Mrs Jacqueline Harris is the companies senior Archaeologist holding a BA (Hons) in Archaeology from the University of n. The director Mr Paul Greenfeld is an experienced Archaeologist Anthropologist who holds a BA (Hons) in Archaeology Post Graduate Diploma in Anthropology from the University of Western n. Mr Greenfeld has formerly worked in the northeast Goldfields region for WMC Resources was formerly a Department of Aboriginal Affairs Heritage Officer. Mr Greenfelds Company has completed many mining related surveys in the Thalanyji country over several years gaining a valuable insight into the archaeological lscape site patterning of the region. Mr Greenfelds Company has conducted contract work in association with BGA since 2002.

Following his secondary schooling Mr e continued to further education as a mature age student at Edith Cowan in Bunbury then at Curtin University. In 1996 Mr e commenced his consultancy business as a freelance Aboriginal heritage consultant gained considerable experience in Figure 1: Mr Brad e. He has worked extensively with Western Desert people for the Central L Council in Central (1994-6), Ngaanyatjarra Council in the Laverton Warburton areas (1996-8), through the University of s Centre for Anthropological Research (2000-1) on the Martu native title claim in the East Pilbara (2000-1). Ms McGann has maintained good relationships with all stakeholders during her career has assisted mining companies develop Heritage Information Booklets to aid construction mining personnel during their projects. After graduating from high school in 1978, Mr Greenfeld travelled overseas upon returning to Perth joined the family camping, clothing army disposal business. After starting a family in 1987, spending a year travelling around, Mr Greenfeld returned to study in 1988, initially at Curtin University then at the University of. After graduating from UWA with honours in archaeology in 1992, Mr Greenfeld worked for several years in the West Kimberley as a field officer for the then Department of Aboriginal Sites. Upon returning to Perth, he undertook a graduate diploma in anthropology at UWA. Completing the course in 1996, Mr Greenfeld spent the next four years working as an ethno-archaeologist for Western Mining Corporation. It is recommended a NSHA is entered into, an 'Activity Notice' issued under the NSHA, if there is a risk that an activity will impact (i.e. by excavating, damaging, destroying or altering in any way) an Aboriginal heritage site. The Aboriginal Heritage Due Diligence Guidelines, which are referenced by the NSHA, provide guidance on how to assess the potential risk to Aboriginal heritage. Likewise, from 8 June 2015 the Department of Mines Petroleum (DMP) in granting Mineral, Petroleum related Access Authority tenures within the South West Settlement ILUA areas, will place a condition on these tenures requiring a heritage agreement or a NSHA before any rights can be exercised.
