1 BRAD GOODE & ASSOCIATES PTY LTD Consulting Anthropologist & Archaeologists Address: 79 Naturaliste Terrace, Dunsborough WA 6281 Phone: (08) PURPOSE AND AIM OF THE COMPANY COMPANY PROFILE Brad Goode & Associates Pty Ltd, Consulting Anthropologists and Archaeologists, have formed a multi disciplinary consultancy team of independent heritage professionals that has been operating cooperatively since Since its inception the group has focused upon conducting archaeological and ethnographic Aboriginal heritage surveys, native title research, cultural values studies and Aboriginal community liaison projects for service providers, government departments, property developers and mining companies. The cooperative model forming the ethos behind the business has enabled the company to take advantage of a wide range of skills sets, extensive networks within Aboriginal community groups and land councils, and has given the company the necessary experience and the capacity to service client s needs throughout the state of Western Australia. PROFESSIONAL PERSONNEL & ASSOCIATES Mr Brad Goode is the Managing Director of the company, and provides the office and staff support; and is the principal anthropologist. Mr Brad Goode has a major in Aboriginal and Intercultural Studies from Edith Cowan University and a B.A. in Anthropology and Sociology from Curtin University. Mr Brad Goode has a trusted reputation and rapport with Aboriginal communities gained by 16 years of field experience in the South West, Goldfields, Pilbara and the Mid West. Mr Brad Goode has good working relations with the appropriate land councils that govern native title and heritage matters in these regions. Mr Goode is a full member of the Anthropological Society of Western Australia. (ASWA) Mr Bob Chown is an anthropologist that conducts Aboriginal heritage survey work and research for the company. Mr Bob Chown has a B A (Hons) in Anthropology from the University of Western Australian and Post Graduate Diplomas in Social Policy from Swinburne University in Victoria.

2 Mr Bob Chown has extensive experience as a consulting anthropologist for many heritage consulting companies in Perth over the last decade and currently works at the Department of Housing as an Aboriginal Heritage Policy Officer and is a member of ASWA. Dr Peter Gifford provides ethno-historical research capacity, report writing and conducts Aboriginal heritage survey work for the company Dr Gifford has a BA (Hons) and a PhD in History from Murdoch University and has had an extensive career in Journalism, the publishing industry, and Aboriginal Affairs. Mr Colin Irvine is an ethnographer who assists with research, report writing, and ethnographic field work. Mr Colin (Floyd) Irvine has a BA in History and Politics from Murdoch University and has been working with the company from its inception. Brad Goode & Associates can provide clients with a range of archaeological services. Ms Jacqueline Harris is the companies principle full time archaeologist holding a BA (Hons) in archaeology from the University of Western Australian. Ms Harris has had in excess of 20 years experience as a consultant archaeologist in all regions of the state and is the Treasurer of the Australasian Association of Professional and Consulting Archaeologist & Anthropologists. Mr Thomas O Reilly conducts archaeological survey work for the company. Mr O Reilly has a Bachelor of Economics and a BA (Hons) in archaeology from the University of Western Australian. Mr O Reilly has 15 years experience in archaeological survey work in all regions of the state and is currently the Secretary of the Australasian Association of Professional and Consulting Archaeologist & Anthropologists. Mr Stuart Johnston is an archaeologist that has recently joined the company. Mr Johnston has BA (Hons) in archaeology from the University of Western Australian and has worked in the Pilbara and Southwest since graduation. Mr Paul Greenfeld & staff from Deep Woods Surveys provide the company with contract archaeological survey services for larger projects. The director Mr Paul Greenfeld is an experienced archaeologist and anthropologists who holds a BA (Hons) in archaeology and Post Graduate Diploma in anthropology from the University of Western Australian. Ms Roina Williams is an experienced female consultant anthropologist who holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Western Australia and a Masters Degree from ANU in Development Studies. Ms Williams has worked extensively in heritage consultancy thru Land Councils in the Pilbara, Mid West and the Southwest. Brad Goode & Associates professional research team is supported by office staff Mr Mike Thomas, Ms Mel Lamanna and Mrs. Leah Mackie. The office is located in Dunsborough in the Southwest and provides all professional staff with administrative assistance and GIS mapping in Arc-View Version 10 and report production and printing.

3 REPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMPANY Brad Goode and Associates aims to provide reliable professional service and produces quality reports that conform to the Department of Indigenous Affairs Guidelines for Heritage Assessment (1994), the Environmental Protection Authorities Guidance for Assessment of Aboriginal Heritage (2004) and the requirements of the Aboriginal Heritage Act (1972). All members of the team are indemnified under appropriate insurances held by Brad Good & Associates and are experienced team players that provide a multi disciplinary approach to consultancy service in a modern business environment. PRODUCTS AND SERVICES OF THE COMPANY Brad Goode & Associates provide service providers, government departments and developers throughout the whole of Western Australia with vital heritage consulting in the form of: Archaeological and Ethnographic Aboriginal Heritage surveys Native Title Research Aboriginal Community Liaison Cultural Values studies Cultural Heritage Management Plans Preparation of all relevant documentation pertaining to the requirements of the Aboriginal Heritage Act (1972) Brad Goode and Associates also employs a number of key Aboriginal people in each region as liaison consultants to assist with identifying appropriate individuals within Native Title Claim groups and who are the most appropriate people to be consulted about heritage. Aboriginal people from the community in which the survey is being conducted are always employed as assistants with the archaeologists during surveys and monitoring. The consulting anthropologist along with associated archaeologists typically travels via car or airplane to locations throughout the entire state of Western Australia to conduct archaeological heritage surveys, or field consultations for relevant projects. The research team along with the data mapping consultant provide the background data needed to conduct these field consultations in a timely and efficient manner and organize groups of Aboriginal consultants to meet at coordinated times to facilitate the project study. The latest technologies that pertain to data mapping has been a great asset to this company to provide quality and accurate data for the consulting archaeologists when conducting surveys. Quality maps can then be reproduced with the results taken from field surveys providing the proponent with detailed analysis, in a clear concise format. Brad Goode in this role, employs & supervises a multi disciplinary heritage consultancy team, that provides both industry and government with comprehensive Aboriginal Heritage Assessments, under the Western Australian Aboriginal Heritage Act (1972). Since its inception the company has produced over 228 reports detailing the results of Aboriginal heritage desktop studies, field heritage surveys, both ethnographic and archaeological and has arranged archaeological salvage excavations and monitoring programs in compliance with the AHA (see attached DIA list of reports). Heritage work has been undertaken in; the Great Southern, Pilbara, Southwest, Goldfields, Midwest and Perth Metropolitan Regions.
