Adding ½ hour for traffic en route, total estimated drive time is 3½ hours.) 8:30 AM Arrive at Chicago O Hare International Airport for check-in *Your Bob Rogers Travel Airport Representative Will Meet The Group At The American Airlines Terminal At O Hare Airport To Assist With The Group Check-In Upon arrival Begin check-in process. Once everyone has checked in, proceed through security. EVERYONE needs to bring a picture ID along with their boarding pass. Transfer Via Subway to the 9/11 Memorial & Museum 3:30 PM Scheduled Entrance Time For The 9/11 Museum (Admission Included) The National September 11 Memorial Museum serves as the country s principal institution concerned with exploring the implication of the events of 9/11, documenting the impact of those events and exploring 9/11 s continuing significance. The museum displays artifacts associated with the events of 9/11 while presenting stories of loss and recovery. Tickets include a visit to the 9/11 Memorial. 5:45 PM Meet outside the museum to walk to One World Observatory At One World Trade Center 6:00 PM Scheduled Visit To The One World Observatory Start by ascending to the top of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere in less than 60 seconds. Once you ve arrived to the top experience three levels of innovation and inspiration, then look towards the horizon and feel the city s invincible spirit. skyline! 3 THURSDAY, APRIL 5 8:30 AM Meet in the hotel lobby to transfer Via Subway to Battery Park 9:15 AM Arrive at Battery Park. From here you will board the ferries to take you to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. The ferry will stop first at Liberty Island. The group will have time to explore Liberty Island and the Statue of Liberty before getting on ferry for transfer to Ellis Island. Visit this monument to freedom and the surrounding area of Liberty Island, as well as the Immigration Museum. Lunch on your own on the islands 2:30 PM Arrive back at Battery Park One of New York City s oldest public open spaces. Located at the tip of Manhattan overlooking New York Harbor, over four million people, including residents, office workers, school groups, and tourists from around the world annually visit the park and its major landmark, Castle Clinton National Monument. 5 -Walk as a group to St. Paul s Chapel After the attack on September 11, 2001, which led to the collapse of the twin towers of the World Trade Center, St. Paul's Chapel served as a place of rest and refuge for recovery workers at the WTC site. The Chapel is now a popular tourist destination since it still keeps many of the memorial banners around the sanctuary and has an extensive audio video history of the event.
