1 SANTA MONICA HIGH SCHOOL Symphony Orchestra 2018 ARGENTINA & URUGUAY PERFORMANCE TOUR March 28 April 7, 2018 (itinerary details are subject to change) As of: March 27, 2018 DAY ONE: Wednesday, March 28, 2018 LOS ANGELES Departure ~10.30am Arrive at Los Angeles International Airport and meet your World Projects Tour Manager (Phillip Hobson) who will assist with checking-in with United Airlines. After checking-in your luggage and instruments, move through security to the departure gate. 1.44pm Depart Los Angeles for Houston on United Airlines flight UA pm Arrive into Houston and transfer to your next departure gate pm Depart Houston for Buenos Aires on United Airlines flight UA819. ~12.30pm Arrive at Los Angeles International Airport and meet a World Projects representative (Kendra DeBolt) who will assist with checking-in with LATAM Airlines. After checking-in your luggage and instruments, move through security to the departure gate. 3.55pm Depart Los Angeles for Santiago, Chile on LATAM Airlines flight #603.

2 DAY TWO: Thursday, March 29, 2018 Arrive BUENOS AIRES (D) 10.20am Arrive into Buenos Aires. Pass through immigration, collect your luggage, and proceed with customs formalities. You will be met by your local Tour Escorts who will travel with you throughout the tour. Load the coaches and equipment truck and transfer into the center of Buenos Aires. 6.40am Arrive into Santiago and proceed to your next departure gate. 8.25am Depart Santiago for Buenos Aires on LATAM Airlines flight # am Arrive into Buenos Aires. Pass through immigration, collect your luggage, and proceed with customs formalities. You will be met by your local Tour Escorts who will travel with you throughout the tour. Load the coaches and transfer to the: Dazzler Recoleta Av. Gral. Las Heras 2161 C1127AAD, Buenos Aires, Argentina Tel: ~12.30pm 2.30pm 3.30pm 4:00pm-5:30pm ~6:00pm 7.45pm 9.15pm Arrive at the Recoleta Art Market where you will have time for lunch on your own and to explore the market. After lunch, enjoy a visit to the Recoleta Cemetery. Board the coaches and transfer to the Evita Museum. Enjoy a visit to the Evita Museum. Afterwards, return to the hotel. Arrive at the hotel and check-in to your rooms free time to settle in and freshen up in your rooms. You may want to take the opportunity to enjoy exploring the area surrounding the hotel in the Recoleta neighborhood one recommendation is to visit El Ateneo Bookstore once a theatre, it is now considered one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. Meet in the hotel lobby and depart on foot for dinner. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner as a group at the La Biela Restaurant. Following dinner, walk back to the hotel and retire for the evening.

3 DAY THREE: Friday, March 30, 2018 BUENOS AIRES (B,D) Masterclasses GROUP #1 (Violas / Cellos / some Basses (number TBC) 36 total) 9.30am Meet in the hotel lobby (with instruments) and depart for Teatro Colon am Enjoy a guided tour of Teatro Colon. After the tour, enjoy lunch on own and time to explore the neighborhood. 1.45pm Meet at Tango Porteno and setup in two separate rooms pm Violins and Violas/Cellos/Basses masterclasses at Tango Porteno. Afterwards, gather in main room pm String Quartet masterclass at Tango Porteno. Return your instruments to the hotel. ~5:30pm Arrive back at the hotel. GROUP #2 (Violins / some Basses (numbers TBC) 36 total) 11.00am Meet in the hotel lobby (with instruments) and depart for Teatro Colon 11.30am Enjoy a guided tour of Teatro Colon. After the tour, enjoy lunch on your own in the area. 1.45pm Meet at Tango Porteno and setup in two separate rooms pm Violins and Violas/Cellos/Basses masterclasses at Tango Porteno. Afterwards, gather in main room pm String Quartet masterclass at Tango Porteno. Return your instruments to the hotel. ~5:30pm Arrive back at the hotel. GROUP #3 (Brass / Woodwinds / Percussion 36 total) 10:15am Board the coach and transfer to Tango Porteno ~10:45am Early lunch on your own in the area. Afterwards, transfer to the masterclass venue Tango Porteno pm Meet back at Tango Porteno and setup in two separate rooms pm Brass and Woodwinds masterclasses at Tango Porteno. Following the masterclass, enjoy time exploring the neighborhood. 3:20pm Meet at Teatro Colon 3.30pm Enjoy a guided tour of Teatro Colon. Return your instruments to the hotel. ~5:30pm Arrive back at the hotel. ENTIRE GROUP 6:30pm 7.00pm-8:30pm 8:45pm-10:00pm Meet in the lobby and walk to restaurant. Enjoy dinner as a group at Los Inmortales. Following dinner, transfer to the Plaza de Mayo Enjoy the traditional Good Friday Easter Procession in front of the Metropolitan Cathedral. Afterwards, return to the hotel.

4 DAY FOUR: Saturday, March 31, 2018 BUENOS AIRES (B,D) Performance 9:30am After breakfast, load the coaches and depart for the La Boca neighborhood. 10:00am Enjoy a visit to the Fundación PROA (contemporary art museum) OR a self-guided tour of the soccer stadium in La Boca. Also visit the Caminito ("little walkway" or "little path" in Spanish) a street museum and a traditional alley, located in the La Boca neighborhood pm Load the coaches and return to the hotel. Lunch on your own in the area. 2.00pm Meet in the hotel lobby (with performance attire and instruments) and depart for Facultad de Derecho. Upon arrival, setup for the rehearsal. 4.00pm Rehearsal / sound check on stage for the performance this evening. 6.00pm Performance as part of the Saturday Concert Series (Ciclo de Grandes Conciertos) at Facultad de Derecho at the University of Buenos Aires. Following the concert, load the coaches and return to the hotel to store instruments. 8.30pm Dinner as a group at a local restaurant, then return to the hotel for the evening. DAY FIVE: Sunday, April 1, 2018 BUENOS AIRES (B,D) 9.00am 10.00am 10:15am ~10:45am 11.30am Afternoon 5.00pm 7.00pm 8.30pm 11.15pm GROUP 1 (attending Mass) After breakfast, load the coaches and transfer to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Buenos Aires. Those who wish to can attend Easter Sunday mass at the Cathedral. GROUP 2 (not attending Mass) Those not attending mass load the coaches and transfer to the Plaza de Mayo. Arrive at Plaza de Mayo enjoy time to explore the historic square. ENTIRE GROUP Enjoy a tour of Casa Rosada the executive mansion and office of the President of Argentina (the group will be split into 3x sub-groups for the tour). Afterwards, transfer to the San Telmo Market where you will have some time to explore. Lunch on your own at San Telmo Market. Following lunch, transfer to Palermo and enjoy the Palermo Park District for a beautiful afternoon outdoors. Load the coaches and return to the hotel to freshen up. Meet in the lobby, load the coaches, and transfer to this evening s restaurant where you will be able to enjoy a Tango lesson prior to dinner. Enjoy a Tango Dinner Show as a group, then return to the hotel. Following the show, load the coaches and return to the hotel.

5 DAY SIX: Monday, April 2, 2018 BUENOS AIRES MONTEVIDEO (B,D) 5:15am Check-out of the hotel and load the coaches and equipment truck transfer to Puerto Madero. 5:45am Breakfast as a group near the ferry building in Puerto Madero after breakfast, walk to the ferry building and check-in for ferry to Montevideo. 7.15am Depart Buenos Aires for Montevideo via the Fast Ferry am Arrive into Montevideo and proceed through immigration and customs. Load the coaches and enjoy a guided sightseeing tour of Montevideo which will take you past and also include a walking tour of Old Town (Cuidad Vieja) where you will see sights such as the Mercado del Puerto and the Old Sepharadi Synagogue. 1.00pm Conclude the tour at Mercado del Puerto where there are many options for lunch on your own. 2.30pm Enjoy a visit to the Museo del Carnaval including a traditional murga performance. ~4.30pm Transfer and check-in to the: Dazzler Montevideo 21 de Setiembre 2752, Montevideo, Uruguay Tel: After check-in, time to settle into your rooms. Activities TBD (possibly nap time, see the sunset from the beach, etc.) Dinner as a group at the hotel. DAY SEVEN: Tuesday, April 3, 2018 MONTEVIDEO (B) Performance 8.30am Load the coaches (with instruments and concert attire) and depart for Teatro Solis. 9.15am Arrive at the venue and setup am Dress rehearsal on stage. Following the rehearsal, there will be time for a quick lunch on your own nearby the venue pm Return to the venue to prepare for the performance. 1.00pm Performance in Montevideo at the Teatro Solis as part of the "Musica al Mediodia" concert series. 2.00pm Concert concludes change clothes and pack up instruments. Enjoy sightseeing in central Montevideo including the Plaza Independencia, Cerro Hill, and the Catedral Metropolitana ~ Arrive back at the hotel. Possible group activities this afternoon could include: - Bouncing from store to store at the Punta Carreras Shopping Mall - Relaxing on one of Montevideo s beaches such as nearby Pocitos Beach - Enjoy a bike ride along the beach (additional cost) - Other possible activities to be announced Evening Dinner on your own in Montevideo near the hotel, then return to the hotel.

6 DAY EIGHT: Wednesday, April 4, 2018 MONTEVIDEO ROSARIO (B,D) 9.30am Check-out of the hotel, board the coaches, load the equipment truck, and transfer to the ferry terminal am Depart Montevideo for Buenos Aires on the Fast Ferry. Afternoon Lunch on your own on board the ferry. 1.15pm Arrive, proceed through immigration, and meet your local coaches. 2.00pm Load the coaches and transfer to the inland city of Rosario. ~6.30pm Upon arrival into Rosario, transfer and check-in to the: Holiday Inn Express Rosario Salta 1950, S2000AIR Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina Tel: Dinner as a group at Las Tinajas, then return to the hotel. DAY NINE: Thursday, April 5, 2018 ROSARIO (B,D) Performance 10.00am After breakfast, load the coaches (with instruments and performance attire) and depart on a tour of Rosario including the Plaza 25 de Mayo (and the Cathedral), the Paraná Riverfront (called La Cosanera), the National Monument to the Flag, and Parque Independencia (wonderful views of Rosario). 1.00pm Lunch on your own in Rosario along the waterfront. 2.30pm Load the coaches and transfer to this evening s performance venue Teatro El Circulo. 3.00pm Arrive and setup. 4.00pm Rehearsal / sound check upon arrival & 7.00pm Dinner as a group at the Theater Restaurant (group will need to split into two shifts for dinner). 8.30pm Performance in Rosario at the Teatro El Circulo pm After the concert, load the coaches and return to the hotel. Enjoy a dessert option TBD (additional cost).

7 DAY TEN: Friday, April 6, 2018 ROSARIO BUENOS AIRES (B,L) Morning Breakfast as a group at the hotel. 8.30am Check-out of the hotel, load the coaches and equipment truck, and depart for Buenos Aires. ~12.30pm Upon arrival into Buenos Aires, enjoy a Farewell Lunch as a group at Gourmet Porteno Restaurant to celebrate your Argentina & Uruguay Performance Tour! 2:30pm Transfer to Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport. ~3:30pm Arrive at Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport check-in for flights to Los Angeles say goodbye to your Local Tour Escorts and make your way through security to the departure gate. 6.20pm Depart Buenos Aires for Santiago on LATAM Airlines flight # pm Arrive into Santiago and transfer to your next departure gate pm Depart Santiago for Los Angeles on LATAM Airlines flight #602. Afternoon Free time to explore the Puerto Madero neighborhood (activities to be announced). Transfer to Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport. ~6:30pm Arrive at Buenos Aires Ezeiza International Airport check-in for flights to Los Angeles say goodbye to your Local Tour Escorts and make your way through security to the departure gate. 9.20pm Depart Buenos Aires for Houston on United Airlines flight UA818. Saturday, April 7, 2018 LOS ANGELES Arrival 6.25am Arrive into Los Angeles and proceed through customs and immigration. 5.45am Arrive into Houston and proceed through customs and immigration. Drop your luggage at the transfer desk and continue on to your next departure gate. 7.35am Depart Houston for Los Angeles on United Airlines flight UA am Arrive into Los Angeles and collect baggage say good-bye to your WP Tour Manager.
