1 245 Amendments to the Traffic and Parking Bylaw 2012 s (DC No: 178) Council 19 July 2016 Objective ID No: A TauranqaOty Purpose 1. To recommend amendments to the attachments to the Traffic and Parking Bylaw Executive Summary 2. The Traffic and Parking Bylaw 2012 allows for Council to amend attachments to the Bylaw by Council resolution. 3. This report sets out amendments to a number of attachments to the Bylaw to respond to safety concerns and changes to new road layouts. 4. It is recommended that s 2,3.1, 4.2, 4.3, 7.1, 7.2, 7.4, 7.7, 7.9, 7.11, 7.12, 7.13, 7.14, 7.15, 7.16, , 7.21 and 7.25 of the Traffic and Parking Bylaw are amended as set out in A to this report. Recommendation/s That the Council: (a) (b) Receive Report (DC 178) Amendments to the Traffic and Parking Bylaw s. Adopt the proposed amendments to the Traffic and Parking Bylaw s ( A) effective 20 July Discussion 5. Tauranga City Council adopted the Traffic and Parking Bylaw (the 'Bylaw') 2012 on 23 October 2012 and it came into effect on 1 November The purpose of the Bylaw is to facilitate traffic management and parking control measures in respect of roads, public places, parking areas and transport stations owned or managed by Council. 6. The Bylaw permits Council to amend the attachments to the Bylaw by Council resolution. 7. B summarises the proposed amendments. It identifies the relevant clause in the Bylaw that the attachment is made under and sets out the details and reason for the proposed changes. It also 8. A highlights the proposed changes.
