10 GUEST NATION-AUSTRALIA Distinguished presence and participation of Australia as Exponor 2015 guest nation, headed by Ambassador Timothy Kane. Highlights include: AUSTRALIA NIGHT Business meeting bringing together companies from the Australian Pavilion, Chilean businesses and foreign firms participating in Exponor Attended by the Chilean Minister of Mining, Aurora Williams, and the Ambassador of Australia in Chile. RUGBY CLINIC Over 150 children from rugby clubs in Antofagasta played and learned more about the popular sport from the Head Coach of the Australian National Rugby Squad, Paul Healy. 20 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES TECHNICAL TALKS 108 TECHNICAL TALKS On technical matters and innovations led by exhibiting companies. An additional series of talks entitled Energy in the Development of the North of Chile was organized by the Antofagasta Center for Energy Development.

21 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES LAUNCH YOUR INNOVATION INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY The initiative took place for the first time, bringing together 41 emerging innovators from all over Chile to exhibit at the Launch Platform, a space to display innovations and interact with exhibitors, visitors and potential clients. Among the highlights of the initiative was the Innovation Catalyst Pitch, in which 10 participants showcased their innovations to representatives from the mining industry and public and private institutions.

22 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES INNOVATION ZOOM An online showcase allowing exhibitors to publicize innovations and technologies ahead of EXPONOR. Some exhibitors also chose to present on the Innovation Zoom Stage, allowing them to display and demonstrate available technologies and innovations to potential clients.

23 INTERNATIONAL RECEPTIONS UNITED STATES RECEPTION Chilean Minister of Mining Aurora Williams, US Ambassador. Michael Hammer and top mining industry executives took part in an official reception held by the United States to mark its participation in Exponor BRITISH RECEPTION Great Britain held an official reception for participating companies. This event, which was organized by the UK Embassy, was attended by the Chilean Minister of Mining, Aurora Williams, the UK Ambassador, Fiona Clouder, and several Chilean and international authorities from the public and private sector. 24 COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES CITIZEN DIALOGUE Citizen Dialogue: From Social Responsibility to Shared Value was carried out with mining company representatives and community organizations. EARLY CHILDHOOD Free showing of the film Home at Cine Hoyts Mall Plaza Antofagasta. This activity was aimed at children from kindergartens run by Junji, the Municipal Social Development Corporation (CMDS) and Fundación Integra WATCHING THE SKIES Families got the chance to get to know and explore the universe using 6 telescopes with the guidance of a team of astronomers, as well as taking part in talks on the constellations. ZUMBATHON A free sporting event aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle through dance. This activity took place simultaneously at the Municipal Beach and the Trocadero Beach in Antofagasta.

25 VIEWS ON EXPONOR I found it to be a formidable exhibition. It is a space for actors in the mining industry to meet people and do business. It promotes the region of Antofagasta, not just as a mining destination but also for tourism, and it showcases Chile as a powerhouse of research and innovation. 26 ANTOFAGASTA INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION 70 YEARS OF INNOVATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE MINING INDUSTRY Business association founded in 1944 and made up of more than 210 companies from the large-scale mining industry, as well as the most important suppliers of goods and services to this productive sector. The AIA s primary challenge today is to continue working towards the consolidation of a mining cluster, a development strategy introduced by the association in the late 1990s, through the Mining Cluster 2.0 Strategy, which aims to contribute to long-term policy at the national and regional level. To achieve this, the Antofagasta Industrial Association supports initiatives such as Exponor, Sicep, the Business Development Center, Codetia, Don Bosco Technical and Industrial School Antofagasta y Calama, the Social Responsibility Program, the Antofagasta Convention Bureau and the Strategic Plan for Early Years Education, among others.
