As I pulled my rst ever jew sh into the bot, my host told me to tell nyone who sked tht I cught it wters off Jurien By. But we were in 40-odd metres of wter off Greenhed. The jew- sh lled our quot for the dy nd lthough it ws my only offering to the ctch, it llowed me to leve content. It st proudly in the esky mong the other jew sh (check Fisheries Deprtment regultions), bldies nd blck-rse. Oh nd cry sh! Would-be shermn wnting to visit re well wrned to keep n eye on the wether forecsts though. My host spends more time on the Bureu of Meteorology website thn my dughter does on Instgrm. He tells me tht dys where he cn get out shing re very few nd fr between, becuse of the wind. But he seems to be ble to regulrly send me photos of ctches he hs been lucky enough to get out for. The fct tht the wind blows in this re is well known though s windsur ng is t its best long the cost north of Perth. And just in cse you cn t get line out (to sh), you cn tke your golf clubs nd ply the locl course. Greenhed is bout two nd hlf hours (87km) north of Perth nd 0 minutes north of Jurien By. Get there long the picturesque Indin Ocen Drive. The locls nd those who own holidy homes there re doing their best to keep it secret, but they re ghting losing bttle.
