There was no quorum and hence the meeting was adjourned for 15 minutes. The meeting was called to order at 4.15 P.M. by Dr. B. R. Bansode the President of API and Chairperson of Indian College of Physicians. He welcomed all the Fellows of the Indian college of Physicians and invited the Dean Dr. Rohini Handa to conduct the proceedings of the meeting. Dean Dr. Rohini Handa thanked Dr. B. R. General Secretary Dr. Mangesh Tiwaskar informed about the sad demise of Drs. N. K. Singh Varanasi, Lt. Gen. N. R. Krishnan Bangalore, JR Sankaran Chennai, K. S. Chugh Chandigarh, K. C. Mohanty Mumbai, B. K. Goyal Mumbai, B. B. Tripathy Cuttack, Ashok Chaudhary - Kolkata and Deepak Amarapurkar Mumbai. Two minutes silence was observed in memory of the departed soul. The General Body authorized Hon. General Secretary to send a suitable resolution to the family members of the departed soul. 3. Confirmation of the minutes of the twenty eight Annual General Body Meeting of ICP held on 26 th January 2017 at Mumbai. The copy of the 28 th Annual General Body meeting of ICP held on 26 th January 2017 at Mumbai which was circulated and gone through page by page from page No. 5 to 7 of the 28 th Annual Report was passed; proposed by Dr. P. S. Shanker and Seconded by Dr. Banshi Saboo. 4. Business arising out of the minutes. Nil 5. To consider the 29 th Annual Report of the ICP. The 29 th Annual Report of Indian College of Physicians with Dean s Annual Report of the activities of ICP which were already circulated and went through page by page No. 8 to 12 which were passed; proposed by Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay and Seconded by Dr. V. Palanippan Dindigul. Dean Dr. Rohini Handa informed the members The ICP Convocation was held at Hotel Renaissance, Mumbai on 27 January Dr Farokh Udwadia was the chief guest and delivered a thought provoking convocation address. Fellowship of ICP was conferred on 167 members of the API. The Master Teacher Award for 2016 was conferred on 6

There are very likely to be other CMEs organised by esteemed members which are not listed here because no communication was sent to the head office or the Dean s office. We apologise for such inadvertent omissions in this list. Undergraduates Teaching Slides in Rheumatology are being prepared. These shall be put on web shortly. Honorary Fellowship of the ICP has been conferred this year on Prof Syed Atiqul Haq, Bangladesh and Mamun-Al-Mahtab, Bangladesh. 3 Workshops were held today. 1. A to Z of CBC (Learning CBC through case studies) Faculty: Dr Sudhir Mehta, Jaipur and Dr Swati Pai, Bengaluru 2. Joint & Soft tissue Injection Workshop Hands on using mannequins Faculty: Drs SJ Gupta, PD Rath, Sundeep Upadhyay, New Delhi 3. Clinical Decision Making Workshop Faculty: Gp Capt Shankar Subramanian, Gp Capt Ajay Handa, Wg Cdr TVSVGK Tilak Rabindranath Tagore Oration was delivered by Dr T Geetha, Coimbatore (Health and Disease in Women-From cradle to grave) Panel Discussions: 2 (AMI and Hepatitis C) State of Art Lectures: 2 Evidence based approach Sessions WIN (What is new) Sessions; Lectures and Updates 6. Any other business that may be brought before the meeting with the permission of the chair. Chairman, Dr. BR Bansode informed that this is his last meeting as chairman of ICP for conducting the meeting, he thanked all the members specially his patron Drs. Siddharth N. Installation of Dean for Dr. Rohini Handa the outgoing Dean invited Dr. G. Narasimulu on the dias and installed him as the Dean of ICP ( ) Dr. Rohini Handa thanked the Fellows for their support given to him during his tenure as Dean. He also introduced Dr. G. Narasimulu and informed that he had a great pleasure to hand over the Deanship and prestigious medalion to Dr. Narsimulu, who is an eminent Rheumatologist. Dr. G. Narsimulu thanked all the Fellows and informed that it s a matter of great honour and privilege to give charge as the Dean, Indian College of Physicians. I had participated as Dean in couple of state APICON s For the CME of APICON-2019 at Kochi, Kerala, total no of Scientific Lecturers- 143, 1- CPC, 4- Work Shops, Total No of faculty-143 and 5-International Faculty. Total No of Chairpersons 220. One Workshop on Joint Examination and injection technique by Dr. P. D. Rath, One work shop as How to write a paper jointly with PRF, One work Shop on Insulin delivery methodology One Work shop on Poisoning by Dr. Sibhedu Gosh. Progressive Medicine Book 2019, Our Publishers Jaypee Brothers Medical Publications (p) Ltd New Delhi. I had Wonderful time working with scientific committee and editorial board members Dr. Ravikeerthy (Benguluru), Dr.Udai Lal (Hyderabad), Dr. Naval Chandra (Hyderabad) Dr. Sri Rang Abkari (Hyderabad), Dr. Y.S.N. Raju (Hyderabad) also to mention my Son Dr. G. Vishesh (Medical Oncology) and my wife Dr. G. Shobha (Prof of Gynecology) not only helping me but also for giving moral support for various Dilemmas.
