As the quorum was not complete, the meeting was adjourned. The adjourned meeting was reconvened after 15 minutes President Dr. G. S. Any other matter with the permission of the chair President Dr. G. S. Wander outlined the agenda for the coming year and he quoted that he will undertake new Projects which will include Webinars, International collaborations, and young scholar award for 3rd year MD/DNB students. The news Letters, Direct talk will be continued. API will come out with Lipid and HIV Guidelines. Also Physician s Day celebration will be continued. Dr. A. Muruganathan informed that APICON 2016 was Excellent and he congratulated Organising Secretary Dr. R. K. Sahay, Mahesh Marda, K. Shankar and their team for the excellent arrangements and Dr. Wander for the excellent Scientific Programme. Members congratulated President Dr. Wander for conducting second general body meeting smoothly. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to the chair. Dr. G. S. Confirmation of the minutes of the Second General Body Meeting (2015) held at Gurgaon on 20th February 2015 The copy of the minutes of the Second General Body meeting which was held on 20th February 2015 at Gurgaon which was already circulated and was passed, proposed by Dr. Siddharth N. Shah and Seconded by Dr. N. K. Soni. 4. Matters arising out of the minutes Nil 5. Consideration of the Annual Report for the year ended 2015 and the audited statement of accounts for the year ended 31/03/2015 The 71st Annual report for the year ended 2015 and the audited statement of accounts for the year ended 31st March, 2015 were gone through page by page. Dr. Siddharth N. Shah informed that a new office was purchased in the same premises for meeting purpose. Dr. YP Munjal informed that he has contributed from API Text Book 1 crore to API HQ. Dr. Siddharth N. Shah congratulated Dr. YP Munjal for contribution from API Text book of Medicine. Dr Siddhath N Shah informed that the distributor of 8th Edition of API Textbook of Medicine has given Rs. 17 Lacs for the unsold books. He requested that the remaining amount to be taken as bad debts. The Annual Report and the Audited Statement of accounts was passed, proposed by AK Das, seconded by Dr. Anil Chaturvedi. 6. Consideration of resolution / suggestions from members Nil 7. Prize Distribution and scrolls to various assignments of API and JAPI Hon. General Secretary Dr. Milind Y. Nadkar informed the members that awards are being given to best chapter / branches and Membership Development Award for the good work. Awards were given by the president Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay / Dr G S Wander and Dr. Shashank R Joshi. 1 st prize Best City Branch awarded to API Manipur Branch 2 nd prize Best Branch city awarded to API Lucknow Branch 1 st prize Best Chapter awarded to API Delhi State Chapter 2 nd prize best Chapter Awarded jointly to API Bihar Chapter and West Bengal Chapter. 9

VR Joshi API Award for Outstanding Referee for the Year 2015 Dr. K. Mugundhan, Dr. Jalees Fatima and Dr. Shobha M. Itolikar. 8. Proposed Amendments to the Constitution. The proposed amendments to the constitution of API which were circulated were passed, proposed by Dr A M Bhagwati, seconded by Dr Anil Chaturvedi. 9. To confirm the venue for Annual Conference of API 2017 as Mumbai and to decide the venue for the APICON 2018 Mumbai was confirmed unanimously as the venue for APICON For the APICON 2018 President Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay informed that 4 cities had applied of which Bangalore, Agra and Lucknow made presentation in Governing Body meeting held on 27th Jan Kochi representative was not present. After due consideration Governing Body recommended Bangalore for APICON After discussion Bangalore was selected unanimously for APICON 2018 after Agra and Lucknow withdrew. 10. Appointment of Auditors for the year and fix their remuneration. The same auditors M/s. Hari Bhakti & Co., were re-appointed and their remuneration was fixed Rs. One lakh only as auditing fees and professional fees Rs. 35,000/- this was passed proposed by Dr. Siddharth N. Shah and Seconded by Shibendu Ghosh. 11. Any other business that may be brought before the meeting with the permission of the chair Dr. N. P. Singh Congratulated the entire organizing committee for the excellent arrangements and Dr. G. S. Wander and Dr. K. K. Pareek for delivering the books at door steps. Dr. B. B. Thakur and Dr. Siddharth N. Shah congratulated to Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay president and Dr. Milind Y. Nadkar Hon. General Secretary for the excellent work. 11

Dr. Basawgowda thanks all the members for giving APICON 2018 to Bangalore. Hon. General Secretary, Dr. Milind Y. Nadkar thanked Dr. Siddharth Shah, Dr. Y.P Munjal, Dr. Sandhya Kamath, Dr. B. B. Thakur, Dr. Shashank R. Joshi, all the six presidents and six Deans during his tenure for their support and guidance. He also thanked the office staff specially Mrs. Sunita Shukla. Health Minister of Government of Andhra Pradesh Mr. Narasimha Garu as the Chief Guest. 450 oral paper presentations were held in two halls, and first and second best paper awardees were awarded the Cash award from APICON 2014 Ludhiana Original Paper Merit Award. 470 guest lectures; 25 workshops, 3 quizzes; each by the Ahmedabad group, AIIMS group and Jalandhar group were successfully conducted. there were 7 teams for these each quiz. All Lectures were for 20 minutes, and for the sake of uniformity we urged the speakers to finish the talks in time. There were 10 panel discussions. It was easy for the delegates to ask question. 2 CPCs in the last session on both the days were held. One was from AIIMS and the other from PGIMER. The e-poster presentation of the paper were introduced for the first time during the conference. The Medicine update book was made available. All the delegates received the books before the conference. This effort was widely appreciated by all the delegates. 18 18 THE ASSOCIATON OF PHYSICIANS OF INDIA JAPI REPORT EDITOR S ANNUAL REPORT OF JOURNAL OF THE ASSOCIATION OF PHYSICIANS OF INDIA On behalf of all my esteemed colleagues of the Editorial Board, I take great pleasure in presenting to you the annual report of the activities of the Journal of the Association of Physicians of India during the period 1st January to 31 st December We have started online submission from 8 th April, 2016 and up to 10 th December, 2016 we have received 732 articles for publication in JAPI. There is tremendous response to online submission with numbers of submission going up almost three times. The Journal has received 732 articles during the year 2016 (till 10 th December, 2016). We have published 65 Original Articles, 12 Review Articles, 109 Case Reports, 23 Pictorial CME s, and 25 Correspondences. There are 65 articles accepted for publication and are in the process for publication. 130 articles are with referees for evaluation and re-evaluation, 58 were returned to the authors for modification and 48 were rejected. Two articles were withdrawn by authors. Currently series on Statistics for Researchers and Case of the Month is going on. I also propose to start a new series on Radiology series. We also had a series on Pioneers in Neurology. JAPI published supplements on Lipid Association of India Expert Consensus Statement on Management of Dyslipidemia in Indians 2016 : Part 1, Recommendations for Vaccination Against Seasonal Influenza in Adult High Risk Groups: South Asian Recommendations, Atrial Fibrillation, Consensus on Management of Deep Vein Thrombosis with Emphasis on NOACs Recommendations from Inter-Disciplinary Group of Indian Experts, National Insulin Summit (NIS)- 2015, and Community-Acquired Pneumonia and Prevention have already been posted along with March, July, August,September, October & December 2016 issues of JAPI respectively. The editorial board of JAPI has selected three outstanding referees for Dr. V.R. Joshi JAPI Award for Outstanding Referee for the year They are Dr. Vrinda Kulkarni (Mumbai), Dr. Simmi Dube (Bhopal) and Dr. Mrinal Kanti Roy (Kolkata). All the eminently worthy award recipients will be presented the awards at the hands of President of API during General Body of the 72 nd Annual Conference of API to be held in Mumbai.
