6 28TH ANNUAL MEETING Minutes of the 27 th Annual General Body meeting of Indian College Of Physicians A Meeting of the 27 th Annual General Body Meeting of ICP was held on 28 th January 2016 at Hyderabad. There was no quorum and hence the meeting was adjourned for 15 minutes. The meeting was called to order at 4.15 p.m. by Dr. Rajesh Upadhyay the President of API and Chairperson of Indian College of Physicians. He welcomed all the Fellows of the Indian college of Physicians and invited the Dean Dr. K.K. Pareek to conduct the proceedings of the meeting. Confirmation of the minutes of the twenty sixth Annual General Body Meeting of ICP held on 19th February 2015 at Gurgaon The copy of the minutes of the 26th Annual General Body meeting of Indian College of Physicians of India which was already circulated was passed; proposed by Dr. Shashank Joshi and seconded by Dr. Anupam Prakash. 4. The 27 th Annual Report of Indian College of Physicians with Dean s Annual Report of the activities of ICP which were already circulated and went through page by page No. 9 to 29 which were passed; proposed by Dr. R. R. Choudhary and seconded by Dr. B. B. Thakur. 6. To consider the Proposed ICP Constitution amendments The copy of the proposed amendments of ICP Constitution which was already circulated and went through the same page by page No. 32 to 34 was passed; proposed by Dr. Siddharth Shah and seconded by Dr. B. B. Thakur. 7. Any other business that may be brought before the meeting with the permission of the chair Dean Dr. KK Pareek informed that with the help of President Elect and Chairman Scientific Committee Dr. GS Wander they brought the books Progress in Medicine in one volume and two volumes of Medicine Update on time and it is circulated to all the delegates before reaching to this APICON. This time a large number of CMEs were organized, as we all know that ICP is the BACKBONE of academic programmes of API and thus the CMEs are the LIFELINE of ICP. We conducted these CME s aggressively throughout the country [Rajasthan, Delhi, Kolkata, Puri, Siliguri, Silchar (Asam), Imphal, Agartala (Tiripura), Ahmadabad, West Bengal, Jamshedpur ( Jharkhand), Barrackpur, Naihati, Chinsura, Kasauli] & we have already conducted 131 CME s through different programmes (68 CME s and rest 63 CME programmes in different activities like ABPM, DFEP, Diabetes Summit, KPG, UpFront, ECGCON, Diacon, Raj APICON, Insulin Summit, etc in the entire country. 1. All these activities have been possible with the full support from members of faculty council and our young Dynamic Ever Agile secretary Dr. Milnd Nadkar. I am also thankful to Dr. Girish Mathur - Vice President API, Dr. G.D. Ramchandani - Joint Secretary ICP (Dean s Place) & Mrs. Sunita Sukla for rendering secretarial support from time to time to me. I convey my gratitude to the senior professors & doctors for editing the monographs & getting released in time. Last but not the least I express my very sincere thanks to all the fellows & API members across the country for their whole hearted support to me during my tenure as Dean ICP. 8. Installation of Dean for Dr. K. K. Pareek the outgoing Dean invited Dr. A. Muruganathan on the dias and installed him as the Dean of ICP ( ). Dr. Pareek thanked the fellows for their support given to him during as the Dean. Dr. A. Muruganathan thanked all the fellows and also welcomed the suggestions from them Dr. Shashank Joshi expressed his views that Dr. Pareek organized highest CMEs in all over the country he had done many activities during his tenure and an outstanding work. With the encouragement of President Dr. G S Wanderji and support of Dr. Mangesh Tiwaskar (Gen. Secretary), all our beloved API GC members and ICP Faculty members we have done and we would do lot of CMEs and activities under ICP. ICP convocation ceremony was very grand where His Excellency the Governor of Andhra Pradesh& Telangana was the chief guest and delivered convocation address. All the ICP fellows (2016) were given the collar chain and ties with ICP logo during the convocation ceremony which was followed by grand convocation dinner. First time periodical Newsletter Dean s Times was introduced in ICP Conducted more than 600 CMEs programmes through live & webcast - The details are given below I. Pain Management (UPFRONT) (Conducted 86 UPFRONT CMEs) at various places. 12 th & 13 th March a scientific CME organised with Postgraduate Department of Medicine, Rohilkhand Medical College Hospital, Bareilly (UP). R R Chaudhary. Conducted a CME on 16 th March 2016 under the aegis of ICP at Ghaziabad by Dr. N. K. Soni at Haryana. A rural CME on 18 th March 2016 at Bhagalpur. Conducted CME on 20 th March 2016 at Kota on Recent guidelines in management of alcoholic hepatitis and Management of cirrhotic activities by Dr. Girish Mathur. PSRI New Delhi and API / ICP conducted PSRICON 2016 on 20 th March 2016 at Delhi. Tirupur IMA and ICP conducted a CME on Chronic Diarrhea beyond infection on 24 th March 2016 at Tirupur. 24 th March CME on Diabetes titled as Altering the Metabolic state in T2 DM & Experts perspective into the CV / Renal Data with SGLT2i delivered by Dr.Kamlesh Kunthi, an International Speaker at Chennai conducted by Dr. S N. Narasingan. 12

An interactive CME under the auspices of ICP & API Konkan Chapter on 1 st April 2016 IMA, Pune along with Indian College of Physicians organized a CME on Clinical Nuclear Medicine on 3 rd April 2016 at Hotel VITS, Balewadi, Pune. API-DSC, ICP and Jodhpur School of Public Health conducted the CME on 5 th April Conducted lot of CME on World Health Day at various places JAMSHEDPUR LIVE (API / CSI / RSSDI / ICP / IACM / JDF) on 9 th & 10 th April, 2016 SNTI, at Bistupur, Jamshedpur Conducted a CME on 15 th April at Coimbatore Tirupur IMA and API-ICP jointly conducted a CME on every month Conducted Apollo Sugar International Diabetes Update 2016 jointly with ICP 6 th to 8 th May at Hyderabad. The national working group meeting for developing the South Asian Guideline on Influenza vaccination in high-risk adults on 25 th of May at Chennai. One day CME on Tropical Medicine on 5 th June 2016 Conducted by Salem API / ICP Chapter. Payer Expert Group Meeting on 5 th of June 2016 at Hotel Le Meriden New Delhi - Strengthening policies towards diabetes prevention and treatment - Initiating a Dialogue. ICP / API and Dr. Reddy s Lab jointly conducted a CME on BP Control and Beyond CCBs on 23 rd June 2016 at Coimbatore. Conducted Target Organ Protection (TOP) Meeting on 20 th Aug 2016 at Mumbai and New Delhi. API Tirunelveli Chapter and ICP jointly conducted two days scientific Programme on 17 th & 18 th Sep 2016 at Tirunelveli Conducted Adult vaccination CMEs with the help of national and international experts building recommendations and sharing the knowledge on various vaccines (CMEs) at various places. Conducted Neuro Conclave CME Programme more than 20 at various places- under the Aegis of ICP. Conducted two CMEs Programmes under the banner of ICP at Kota-(1).Beta 13

Conducted 80 CMEs on Dimension - Initiating Dialogue on In-Hospital Diabetes Management at various places. Three modules released and uploaded in API-ICP website. ICP along with HSI conducted more than 50 CMEs across the country. Celebrated Antibiotic Awareness Week - throughout the country from 14 th - 20 th Nov and News paper coverage. Web CME 6 modules uploaded (e-stroke Academy & e-hypertension Academy) in API-ICP website Conducted many CMEs with the help of medical colleges and institutions. 1 st time conducted an informal meeting at Dean s place on 27 th Nov 2016 at Mumbai. Initiated e-medical Academy. YOUNG GENIE India s 1 st Medical Game for PG Students launched on 23 rd June 2016 at Coimbatore-Given 5000 MCQs through ICP Mobile Apps for junior doctors. Initiated WhatsApp ECG Forum & Clinical Imaging Forum Special JAPI issue on Adult Influenza Vaccine under my guest editorship Special JAPI issue on Pneumococcal Vaccine under my guest editorship.
