Come along and see a great display of artwork and creations many of which are for sale, watch a range of Makers create their work, and participate in community activities including loom weaving, crochet (last Wednesday each month) and other varied activities across the months. For a gold coin donation, Tea, Coffee and Off Street Parking are available. Fishing registrations are taken at the office and the cost is $12 for members & $14 for non-members. The price includes a two course meal on the Saturday night with meat trays and raffles to be won. It's a great night out with family and friends so come along and enjoy the fantastic company. See you there! Fashions are courtesy of Lorraine s Mildura and admission is $ Raffles, lucky door prizes and afternoon tea is provided. Murray House is a not-for-profit aged care facility that cares for 65 (aged and disabled) persons from the Shire and surrounding municipalities who have an assessed need for residential or respite accommodation. We look forward to your support September, Tuesday 10 September, Monday PEACE RUN AUSTRALIA 2018 Adelaide Running in In 2018 the 31st anniversary Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run in Australia will travel from, at the junction of Australia s two longest rivers, the Murray and the Darling and run along the River Murray and through the Barossa Valley to finish in Adelaide. The the Team will cross into NSW over the Abbotsford Bridge and follow the Silver City Highway into the Shire as they run to Public School to arrive at about midday. There will be an assembly explaining the Peace Run and Mayor Melisa Hederics will attend and welcome the Team. Students and teachers will also have a chance to hold the Peace Torch and make a wish for Peace. MOVE 2 MUSIC Coomealla Club Auditorium, Matong Street, Dareton 1.30pm-3.30pm move2music is a project developed by Dareton Primary & Community Health in partnership with other community services. move2 music is open to all members of the community and aims to bring people together to enjoy music and dance. It provides an opportunity to meet new people, increase physical activity, and enhance general well-being in a relaxed and enjoyable environment. People of all abilities are most welcome, including carers and friends. Gold Coin donation September, Sunday By passing the torch from one person to the next, the relay offers people from many nations the opportunity to express their hopes and dreams for a better, brighter future. People from all walks of life hold the symbolic torch to wish for a peaceful world. Passing the torch from one person to the next unites us together in our common aspiration to offer something positive to our world together we can make a difference! The Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run is a global relay that seeks to promote international friendship and understanding. Since its inception in 1987 the Run has traversed over 100 nations and touched the lives of millions of people.
