We have a great trip to Marquette Mountain on Feb Our Trip leader is Dar Kramer and she has been the trip leader for that trip before. It is packed full of everything most could want. We may even venture to downtown Marquette to enjoy the festivities of the Dog Sled Race weekend. I have been told that there will be entertainment at most of the establishments there. There are openings on the trip and we ask that you sign up as soon as you can. That really helps the trip leader with all the plans for the weekend, especially the beverages & subs on the trip up. See the Newsletter for further details. We have completed our first weekend trip to Big Snow Country, January We all had a great time, a little icy on Saturday but Sunday was fabulous. Both Indianhead & Blackjack did a great job but on Saturday night we were hoping for a Packer win. That didn t happen but there is next year. Lisa Belau, the trip leader did a great job and a big thanks to Lisa along with her husband Curt for lending a hand. This brings me to the next subject, ski equipment and luggage. After the last person left & the bus departed in De Pere, there was a loose pair of ski boots and luggage left in the parking lot. Luckily, one had a name and we contacted him to claim it. The trip leader Lisa had to send an to find the owner of the boots. Please folks, to make sure you protect your expensive equipment, we now must require all equipment be in bags with appropriate name tags on them. Also, all of your luggage, backpacks and any other items you bring on the trip, must have appropriate name tags on them as well. Our trip leaders work very hard to create a great trip for all of us and we can help them out a lot by making sure they do not have to find the owners of lost items or someone ending up with the wrong bag. I do want to thank all of the members that do pitch in to help load and unload the bus and assist the trip leader. That s what makes this club special, great members like all of you. 5 FRIENDS OF FOXES REWARDS 2012/2013 FRIENDS OF FOXES REWARDS program benefits the existing members and builds the membership of our club with new members to enjoy and benefit from organized group rate discount ski trips, other club sponsored functions and most of all the camaraderie. FRIENDS OF FOXES REWARDS awards present Sly Fox Ski Club Members with 10 points (or $10 towards Sly Fox Ski Club sponsored functions) for all First Time New Members they referred, when they join the club. To receive FOX POINTS, the New Member must document the referring member on their Membership Form when joining the club. The FOX POINTS can accumulate during the one ski season that they have been earned and can be used towards club trips, renewal of their present membership dues, Spring and Christmas Holiday banquets. The FOX POINTS must be used by the end of the season on or before April 30th and cannot be carried over to the following year. The First Time New Member joining the club may not be a spouse of a present member, a past member of the club, renewal membership or a club with reciprocity. FOX POINTS are not transferable to another member. The new and present members must be a minimum of 21 years of age. The FOX POINTS will be documented by the Treasurer when the New Membership Form with payment received.
