(At least partially) With Thanksgiving and Black Friday in the books, it is now Snow Season. Do you have the correct gear? Does it still fi t? Is it time to upgrade? Tuned and waxed? OKAY THEN, LET S GO SKIING!!! A BIG THANK YOU to Art Dumke and Beth Lippert for coming to our meeting and sharing recent upgrades and future projects taking place at Big Snow Resort. It was very informative. The questions and opinions that were bounced around the room, helps with future decisions in the skiing community. Thanks again!! Our December meeting is Wednesday the 5th. SARAH BOHM SASSY SARAH YOGA will be giving a demo/presentation for lift fi tness. Be sure to wear fl exible clothing. The whole group participated last year. Everyone can do it. Learn how to increase fl exibility and strength and burn calories during this holiday season. Our meeting will be held at THE BAR at 2435 W. Nordale Drive, on the corner of Lyndale and Northland Ave in Appleton. Socializing at 7 pm., formal meeting starts at 7:30 pm. The Bar does offer a full menu if you what to eat dinner before the meeting. Many of our members do take advantage of this option. HOLIDAY PARTY - Wednesday DEC. 12TH at the Red OX. Get signed up ASAP as this typically sells out due to the room only holding a certain number of people. We only have room for a few more. You don t want to miss this fun night out to start the holiday season. Details are in this newletter. I encourage you all to attend to hear about our trips and the trips of Gelandesprung Ski Club. Cascade is considered the top day trip area in the Midwest. 460 Vertical Drop. Gelandesprung Ski Clu b will be going on a FRIDAY to avoid the weekend crowds. With 12 lifts including 2 high-speed, detachable quads, they can move a lot of skiers uphill quickly. Cascade offers 45 trails, four terrain parks and 15 snow tubing lanes. The $9 million expansion phase 1 of 3 was completed for the 2016/2017 ski season. For 2017/2018 they added another new trail, opened a new patio, added to their snowmaking/grooming fleet and much more. Put your Skis & Boots in your Car - LET s GO! Cascade is about 2hr 20 min from Green Bay (about 130 miles). This will be a Drive Yourself Trip No Transportation or Overnight Lodging included. FRIENDS OF FOXES REWARDS awards present Sly Fox Ski Club Members with 10 points (or $10 towards Sly Fox Ski Club sponsored functions) for all New Members they referred, when they join the club. To receive FOX POINTS, the New Member must document the referring member er on their Membership Form when joining the club. The FOX POINTS can accumulate during the one ski season that they have been earned ed and can be used towards club trips, the renewal of their present membership dues, Spring and Christmas Holiday banquets. The FOX POINTS must be used by the end of the season on or before April 30th and cannot be carried over to the following year. The New Member joining the club may not be a past member mb er of the club within the last 4 years or a renewing member. FOX POINTS are not transferable rable to another member.
