2 English Premier League LIVE with Amadeus & Etihad Airways Excited, joyful, exhilarated, enthusiastic, anticipating! These are some of the words describing the overall sentiment of the group that was heading to Manchester to enjoy a once in a lifetime experience of watching a LIVE English Premier League between Manchester City Football Club (MCFC) and Cardiff City on 18th January This was made possible through a joint marketing promotion between Amadeus and Etihad Airways conducted last year in celebration of Etihad Airways launching of their double daily flights to Abu Dhabi. The promotion was a huge success with 66% increase in Etihad Airways bookings compared to the same period last year. Landing into Abu Dhabi in the wee hours of the morning, it is so amazing to see how busy the airport was. We were given a hospitality tour of Etihad Airport and the business class lounges with light refreshments served. Thanks to the fantastic hospitality of our Etihad Airways hosts, Jane and Jasmine. The climax of the trip was the match day itself. Arriving into Etihad Stadium 2 hours before the start of the game, we were ushered to the Platinum Box located on the 5th floor of the Colin Bell Stand. The view of the pitch was breathtaking, spectacular and panoramic. Like VIPS Mancunians, we were served with a sumptuous 4 course meal and free flow of wine and champagne from the kitchen of guess who? Wow, its JAMIE OLIVER! And beyond our wildest imaginations came the next BIG surprise! Colin Bell and Tony Book, the legendary players of Manchester City walked in and greeted us. And the moment we have been waiting for, the blowing of the whistle for the kick off with 60,000 spectators roaring away. Goose bumps and chills down the spine. What an experience! With Amadeus, Tigerair Singapore s largest no-frills airline now has a simple and seamless way to distribute its full range of attractive fares and content via an extensive network of travel agencies in Asia Pacific that can make bookings easily using a web-like interface. 6 Malindo Air sells full range of fares via Amadeus New deal provides Amadeus travel agents with access to the full range of schedules and fares from one of the region s newest Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, today announces a new distribution agreement with Malindo Air, one of the newest and fastest-growing airlines in the Asia Pacific region. With this agreement, Amadeus travel agents in Asia Pacific will have immediate access to the same level of Malindo Air fares, availability and functionality as any other travel agency content channel. Malindo Air a joint venture between National Aerospace and Defence Industries of Malaysia and Lion Air of Indonesia joins over 400 airlines, including over 70 low-cost and hybrid carriers that distribute their fares via Amadeus extensive network of travel agencies.
