4 HDOA - Club Relationship (Slide 1 of 2) Two Distinct Legal Entities Separate Governing Boards, but Coordinate and Work Closely Together HDOA Home/Lot and Condo unit owners, and associated neighborhoods Club of these owners are Club members Club properties managed and maintained by the Club HDOA - All the other roadways and common property, including Ocean Front Dunes, are owned and maintained by the HDOA and its Neighborhoods Issues and concerns and/or incidents that occur on either property are the sole responsibility of either the HDOA or Club. 4

5 HDOA - Club Relationship (Slide 2 of 2) Important Note - ALL Hammock Dunes Owners Property Values Directly Benefit From The Club and Its Assets Specifically, the Impressive Views that the Golf Course Green Space provides throughout the Community Views Crossing the Main Gate Bridge or that many Owners enjoy from their Back Yards and Condos We Encourage Non-Club Members to Re-Consider Club Membership Enjoy First-Hand the Many Social Activities and Comradery that Make Hammock Dunes The Place To Live and Play Contribute directly to your enhanced property values, derived from a vibrant Club and its many social and sport assets The Hammock Dunes Community and Club are separate entities but One Cannot Flourish without the Other. 5

13 Security & Emergency Response Committee (Slide 1 of 3) Recent Gated Community Burglaries are Affecting Hammock Dunes, Sea Colony, Grand Haven, Plantation Bay, Halifax Plantation and Others 5 Burglaries in Hammock Dunes All Single Family Homes None were Forced Entry - Unlocked Doors and/or Open Garage Doors Flagler Sheriff s Office Assigned Task Force to Investigate We are working with them hand-in-hand every day Help us and Protect your Home against the Threat of Burglary Always Stay Alert to Strangers in the Area Keep Your Garage Doors Closed and Locked Lock Your Front & Rear Doors Set Your House Alarms, Install Motion Detector Lights Keep Trees & Bushes Trimmed and Away from Doors & Windows If Your Vehicles Are Unattended & Not Garaged, Lock Their Doors Be on the Alert for Vehicles Tailgating/Piggybacking during Gate Entry Report Suspicious Activity Immediately! 14 Security & Emergency Response Committee (Slide 2 of 3) What We Have Done Extended Hours for Securitas Officer at South Gate 7am 11pm Monday Friday and 8am 11pm on Saturday & Sunday Main Gate and Island Estates Gate still staffed 24/7 Deployed Mobile Security Cameras All Vendors/Visitors entering visitor/vendor lane will have driver s license scanned, including passenger photo IDs, and License Plates recorded Important: If a vendor or contractor has a transponder, it will be deactivated Transponders are for Hammock Dunes residents ONLY! Hammock Dunes North Gate code box will be temporarily shut down Two additional Securitas Officers rotate between all Entrances to check vehicles entering the transponder lane Pedestrians and Bicyclists stopped to verify residence Security Awareness Is Everyone s Responsibility HDOA Gate Access and Control Plus Owner Responsibility To Secure Our Homes! 14

15 Security & Emergency Response Committee (Slide 3 of 3) What We Plan To Do Re-Evaluating Community Entry and Exit Points Consulting with Gate Security Specialists Prevent Tailgating/Piggybacking of Vehicles Transponder Activated Exits vs. Automatic Opening for all Vehicles Identification and Deactivating all Vendor Transponders Additional Security Cameras at Beach Dune Walkovers Integrating Club Jungle Hut Maintenance Cameras into our monitoring network Certification Letter to all Owners, Requesting Return Signature Verify each owner s active Transponder Serial Numbers Owners certify active transponders for personal use ONLY - not vendors/employees Lack of owner signed certification will result in deactivation of all owner transponders Requires visit to Two Camino to re-certify Residents purchasing new Transponders must Sign Certification Form Will Not Give Transponder(s) To Vendors, Contractors or Employees Enhanced Uniforms for Securitas Officers (Company Funded) Members: Marge Rooyakkers (Chair), Barbara Tobias, Wanda Furia, Nancy Corkum, Tom Heber and Travis Houk (SSMG). 15
