5 A Letter from the President Dana and I decided to take our last vacation this Labor Day week here in the White Mountains. On our ride up, we noticed several trailers with sleds on them that we assume were heading back to their camps to prepare for the winter ahead. This is clearly an indication that we are nearing the end of our summer and we all should be thinking about preparing our sleds and trailers for the snowmobile season ahead. Throughout the autumn months we ll be busy planning trips for when the snow flies. This shouldn t be too far off, as we watch the news here up north, they are already warning of frost this coming weekend. And while we ll be sad to hike our last trail of the season, we look forward to tearing up the trails in the coming months. I hope you all had a great summer and I look forward to seeing you at our first meeting in October. Kris Auger 5

Prices are now at the minimum to recover the cost of the items. We hold our meetings on the second Tuesday of every month October through March, at 7:00 PM. at the Marlboro Moose Family Center - Post DIRECTIONS FROM ROUTE 20 East of Marlborough. Proceed West on Route 20 through Marlborough center and onto Interstate 495 north. Then follow the Interstate 495 directions below. FROM ROUTE 9 East or West. Border Ft. Kent NEW BRUNSWICK FREE WEEKEND TRIP Tom is planning another 3 day trip to New Brunswick for the free weekend which is Feb Drive up will be on the 21st and home on the 25th. 21 Jackman Maine Trip over Presidents Weekend John Bryant is planning a trip to Jackman over the presidents weekend. At the last board meeting it was decided to make this trip to Jackman, ME during Presidents weekend ( Feb 14-19) the clubs official Winter Picnic trip. More details will be forth coming as additional planning is completed. Possible New Years weekend to Jackman John Bryant is also considering (snow conditions permitting) a trip to Jackman over the New Years Holiday Weekend. More details will be forth coming as additional planning is completed. Trip to the great white north (Northern Quebec) Tom is in the initial stages of planning a trip that may have two options. One with 7 days of riding for those mileage hounds in our club and a second of 5 days of riding for those poor soles that have to work (editors note). lol Dates have not been fixed as of this date. Thoughts were Feb, but with it overlapping the President s day trip and the New Brunswick following right behind, early March is also being considered. The long version is similar to the trip a group of us took back in 2010 Below is Tom s original take on the trip...
