Buckden Friends in Deed: Friends In Deed was set up by St Mary s Church Buckden to visit and help anyone in the village who is in need, unwell, housebound, feeling lonely or new to the village. Also can provide transport to hospital for appointments or visiting relatives. Buckden Surgery Patients Association: Journeys to Buckden Surgery for registered patients from Buckden and area, including Offord, Great Paxton, Ellington and Perry East Hunts Care Ride Scheme: Covers Somersham and the surrounding villages of Woodhurst, Oldhurst, Colne, Pidley, Bluntisham and Earith. Can undertake journeys such as appointments to the surgery or hospital, optician and dentist, plus visiting friends and relatives in hospital. Can also undertake journeys for social purposes, including shopping, visiting friends, etc. 4
5 Highwayman Social Car Scheme: For residents of Brington, Catworth, Covington, Ellington, Grafham, Great & Little Staughton, Hail Weston, Kimbolton, Old Weston, Perry, Spaldwick, Stow Longa and other parishes served by Kimbolton Medical Centre, for social and medical purposes. Holywell-cum-Needingworth Good Neighbour Scheme For those living in Holywell-cum-Needingworth who are unable to make essential journeys by any other means. Can undertake journeys such as appointments to the surgery or hospital, optician and dentist, plus visiting friends and relatives in hospital. Can also undertake journeys for social purposes, including shopping, visiting friends, etc. Huntingdon Volunteer Centre: (Mon-Thurs 10am-12noon) Offers transport to those in Huntingdon and surrounding parishes, including Alconbury, Brampton, Buckden, Godmanchester, The Riptons, and The Stukeleys. For social and medical purposes, including shopping, visiting friends, GP surgery and hospital appointments, opticians, dentists, and visiting friends and family in hospital. North Hunts Community Car Scheme: This scheme is aimed at those living in the parishes of Alwalton, Chesterton, Caldecote, Conington, Denton, Elton, Farcet, Folksworth, Glatton, Haddon, Holme, Morborne, Sibson Cum Stibbington, Stilton, Washingley, Water Newton and Yaxley who are unable to make essential journeys by any other means. 5

Ramsey, Warboys & District Volunteer Centre (Mon-Thurs 10am-12noon) For residents of Ramsey, Warboys, Bury, Upwood, Broughton and area for social and medical purposes, i.e. GP surgery appointments, opticians, dentists, picking up prescriptions, visiting friends, and shopping. Can undertake journeys to visit friends and family in hospital and outpatient department appointments. Sawtry Car Scheme: For residents of Sawtry, Conington and Glatton for medical and social journeys, i.e. GP surgery appointments, opticians, dentists, picking up prescriptions, visiting friends, and shopping. Can undertake journeys to visit friends and family in hospital and outpatient department appointments. St Ives Volunteer Centre: (Mon-Thurs pm) Offers transport to those in St Ives and area, including Bluntisham, Colne, Fenstanton, The Hemingfords, Houghton & Wyton, Papworth, Somersham and Woodhurst. For social and medical purposes, including shopping, visiting friends, GP surgery appointments, opticians, dentists, and visiting friends and family in hospital. 6
7 St Neots Volunteer Centre: (Mon-Thurs 11am-1pm) Offers transport to those in St Neots and area, including Abbotsley, Buckden, Diddington, Eaton Socon, Eynesbury, The Offords, The Paxtons and Southoe. For social and medical purposes, including shopping, visiting friends, GP surgery appointments, opticians, dentists, and visiting friends and family in hospital. Rural Hoppa services Ramsey & District Community Bus Association run three weekly Rural Hoppa services into Ramsey and Huntingdon. These services are open to members of the public (there is no membership), and bus pass holders can use their passes on Rural Hoppa services for discounted journeys.
