Also offers wheelchair accessible transport using their MPV vehicle, plus a 9 and a 16 seater minibus for groups or clubs. St Ives and area (South Cambs villages) Scheme Name: St Ives Volunteer Centre Contact Number: (Mon-Thurs pm) stives@huntsvc.org.uk Offers transport to those in St Ives and area, including Conington and Fen Drayton. For social and medical purposes, including shopping, visiting friends, GP surgery appointments, opticians, dentists, and visiting friends and family in hospital. St Neots and area (South Cambs villages) Scheme Name: St Neots Volunteer Centre Contact Number: (Mon-Thurs 11am-1pm) stneots@huntsvc.org.uk Offers transport to those in St Neots and area, including Croxton, Eltisley and Graveley. For social and medical purposes, including shopping, visiting friends, GP surgery appointments, opticians, dentists, and visiting friends and family in hospital. 4

5 Balsham Helping Hands Scheme: For residents of Balsham, West Wratting and West Wickham. Offers trips to Linton Health Centre, Dentist, Vet, Addenbrookes Hospital, and other social journeys. Also offers a daily prescription delivery and collection service between Balsham Post Office and Linton Health Centre. Bar Hill Community Car Scheme: Short-distance journeys for residents of Bar Hill and Lolworth, for social and medical purposes Barrington Car Scheme: Provides journeys for residents of Barrington to attend medical appointments, i.e. surgeries, hospitals, dentists, chiropody, as well as shopping or visiting friends or relatives, or any essential journey that could not be made by any other means Barton Community Car Scheme: Provides journeys for Barton residents for medical purposes only, mostly to Comberton Surgery or to Addenbrooke s Hospital, as well as dentists, opticians and chiropodists appointments Bassingbourn Heron Car Scheme: For residents of Bassingbourn and Kneesworth; provides journeys for social and medical purposes, including trips to Bassingbourn Surgery, and occasionally to Lister and Addenbrooke s hospitals. Gamlingay & The Hatleys Car Care Scheme: or Offers transport for social purposes and medical appointments to the elderly, disabled and others without transport in Gamlingay, The Hatleys and surrounding area. Granchester CAN: Offers transport for residents of Grantchester, for social and medical purposes, plus good neighbour scheme assistance Guilden Morden Heron Car Scheme: Provides transport for social and medical purposes for residents of Guilden Morden. Toft Car Scheme: Provides journeys for residents of Toft to attend medical appointments, i.e. surgeries, hospitals, dentists, chiropodist, as well as shopping or visiting friends or relatives. Trumpington FISH Scheme: Provides transport for Trumpington residents for short-distance journeys for social and medical purposes. Can also provide escorts, visitors, wheelchair pushers and emergency shopping 9

Provides journeys for medical appointments, i.e. surgeries, hospitals, dentists, chiropodist, as well as shopping or visiting friends or relatives, hospital or hospice visits, hair dressers, or any essential journey that could not be made by any other means Minibus Hire Histon & Impington Community Minibus: This group operates a community minibus locally and is keen to promote its use. The minibus is available for group and private hire journeys. The minibus is fully wheelchair accessible. Milton Scout Group Minibus: This Group owns a 15 seat (including driver) minibus for use by community groups, clubs and non-profit organisations for social purposes. minibus@50thcambridgescouts.org or see for further details. Haverhill Community Transport Group c/o 3CT: This group owns a minibus for use by community groups, clubs and non-profit organisations for social purposes. The vehicle seating can also be modified to carry up to 5 wheelchairs. In addition, Cambridge Dial-a-Ride, 3CT and Royston & District Community Transport have wheelchair accessible minibuses up to 16 seats. Community groups and clubs, plus not-for-profit organisations, can hire these vehicles with a driver supplied. Please see the separate entries listed above for contact details. 10
