2 1. Door to door services Dial a Ride Community Transport Haringey delivers Dial-a-Ride services in Haringey on behalf of TfL. Dial-A-Ride is a free, door-to-door transport service for people with a mobility difficulty and/or disability - and for people who have difficulty in using public transport. Public transport Freedom Pass The Freedom Pass is provided by local councils and entitles older and disabled people to free travel on almost all public transport in London The Freedom Pass can be used on: Almost all local bus routes and many other bus services across England All underground, overground and DLR services Most local rail services in London (at specified times) All London trams Provides a 50% discount on river services (at specified times) You are eligible for a Freedom Pass if: Your principal residence is in London You were born on or before 5 April 1950 OR You have an eligible disability For more information please visit: Telephone: Disabled Persons Railcard Costs 20 a year, for an individual and their companion Entitles users to a third off most rail travel Rail tickets with up to a third off.

3 Visit: Tel: Travel Assistance Payments Scheme Administers pre-paid credits for travel in accessible vehicles (Formerly known as Transport Related Direct Payments) Residents will receive pre-paid credits for eighteen one-way local journeys (defined as up to 2 miles) You can receive pre-paid credits if you have one of the following disabilities: Registered blind Profoundly or severely deaf You are without speech You have no arms or long term loss of use of both arms You have a recognised learning disability you are ineligible to drive a motor vehicle on the grounds of physical fitness You have a disability or have suffered an injury which has a long term adverse affect on your ability to walk You have a Blue Badge (Disabled parking badge) and don't drive yourself For more information call or visit National Bus Pass Scheme for Older People and People with Disabilities If you're of eligible age or have a registered disability you are entitled to a national bus pass which allows you to enjoy free off-peak travel on local bus services anywhere in England. 4 3. Work and Medical Appointments Access to Work The scheme may pay towards the cost of getting to work if you cannot use public transport. Minibuses for groups Minibus hire: your low-cost alternative Community Transport Haringey provides a low cost alternative to minibus hire for your group, club or non-profit organisation through our community Group Transport scheme. Group Transport is a financially supported scheme to keep the voluntary organisations, sports clubs, community or faith groups, schools and charities in Haringey on the move. Our range of 16-seat standard and 14-seat fully wheelchair accessible minibuses can be booked with or without a driver for as little as a few hours or for as long as a few weeks and they can be used to travel anywhere within the UK.
