Emergency road works cannot be forecast.» New Entry Estimate of Potential Disruption: # Update *** major ** medium * minor PROPOSED ROAD CLOSURES Roads Act 1993, Section 75 Temporary Closure of Roads within Sandyford Business Park to facilitate the 2017 Twilight Team Challenge 5K Race Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council has received an application from Dundrum South Dublin Athletic Club,in association with Sandyford Business District Association, for partial to full closure of a number of roads within Sandyford Business Park on Thursday 28 th September, 2017 to facilitate the 2017 Twilight Team Challenge 5K Race. The Start Time of the Race is 7.30 p.m. It is envisaged that the roads will be closed at 7.15 p.m. and will remain closed until after the completion of the race at 8.30 p.m. The Roads affected are as follows: 1. Blackthorn Road, (Partial) 2. Blackthorn Avenue, (Partial) 3. Carmanhall Road 4. Three Rock Road 5. Corrig Road 6. Raven s Rock Road A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and all diversion routes will be clearly signposted. Emergency Access can be provided, if required, during the period of the roads closures. Page 1 of 7

2 Any interested party may lodge an objection in writing with the Senior Engineer, Traffic Section, County Hall, Marine Road, Dún Laoghaire not later than noon on Monday 18th September, 2017 or ROAD CLOSURES Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Extension to Temporary Closure of Kelly s Avenue, Dún Laoghaire Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has received an application from John Sisk and Sons (Holdings) Ltd), Wilton Works, Naas Road, Dublin 22, to extend the period of temporary closure of Kelly s Avenue, Dún Laoghaire from its junction with George s Place to its junction with Crofton Road to through traffic from Monday the 18 th of September to Monday 16 th of October, The purpose of the closure is to make a new drainage connection for the new Rapid Delivery housing development at George s Place, Dún Laoghaire. A Traffic Management Plan will be in place and the diversion routes will be clearly signposted. Local Access will be maintained at all times. Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Killiney Hill Road, Killiney Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council is undertaking footpath restoration works on Killiney Hill Road from the junction of Victoria Road to the junction of Stream Ville Court from Tuesday 8 th August, 2017 to Friday 29 th September, 2017 (inclusive). It is proposed to close Killiney Hill Road in three phases in order to facilitate footpath restoration works and to minimise disruption to traffic, local residents and local business. The three road closure phases are listed as follows: 1. Junction of Victoria Road to Strathmore Road 2. Junction of Strathmore Road to Killiney Avenue 3. Junction of Killiney Avenue to Military Road A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the works. Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993 Temporary Closure of Sallynoggin Park Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council proposes to extend the temporary closure of Sallynoggin Park at the new Housing Development The Mews from 14 th July 2017 to 15 th September 2017 inclusive, in order to facilitate drainage connections and associated works adjacent to 49 Sallynoggin Park. A Traffic Management Plan with diversion routes will be in operation and local access will be maintained for the full duration of the works. Page 2 of 7

3 ROADWORKS / LANE RESTRICTIONS» New Entry:» Barton Road East, Rathfarnham ** Road reconstruction works will commence on Monday, 11 th September 2017 until Saturday, 21 st October 2017 between 10:00 and 16:30 hrs.» Rock Road/Frascati Road from Newtownpark Avenue to the Tara Towers Hotel ** There will be Gully cleaning and Road Sweeping on the Rock Road / Frascati Road from Newtowpark Avenue to the Tara Towers Hotel in both directions on Saturday 9 th and Sunday 10 th September 2017 starting at 5:00am and finishing at 1:00pm. Traffic Management and slow moving crash cushion vehicle will be in operation at these locations and times.» Upgrading of Public Lighting Lanterns between Wyattville Slip Lane and N11/M11 Roundabout on N11 and Wyattville Slip Lane ** (Nightworks) Works will commence on 11 th September 2017 for approximately 1 week. Working hours are between 7:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. (nightworks).» Upgrading of Public Lighting Lanterns between Roundabout N11/M11 Merge to Wyattville Slip Lane N11 Northbound ** (Nightworks) Works will commence on 11 th September 2017 for approximately 1 week. Working hours are between 7:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. (nightworks). # Junction of Anglesea Avenue and Carysfort Avenue, Blackrock *** Pedestrian improvement works, including footpath and road restoration works, will continue at the junction of Anglesea Avenue and Carysfort Avenue until Friday, 15 th September 2017 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. 4 # Carysfort Avenue Junction with Convent Road, Blackrock *** Pedestrian improvement works, including footpath and road restoration works, will continue at Carysfort Avenue junction with Convent Road until Friday, 15 th September 2017 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs. # Clonskeagh Road near UCD ** A mainly off-road ground penetrating radar site investigation survey on both sides of Clonskeagh Road near UCD from near Wynnsward Drive junction (at AIB) to near the Annsbruck entrance will take place on various dates between Sunday, 27 th August 2017 until Friday, 15 th September 2017 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs and after 19 hrs. Carrying out the survey will be weather dependent. # Stillorgan Road near UCD ** Mainly off-road topographical and ground penetrating radar site investigation survey on the inbound side of Stillorgan Road near UCD from the Forster s Avenue junction to beyond the footbridge will take place on various dates between Wednesday, 30 th August 2017 until Friday, 15 th September 2017 between 10:00 and 16:00 hrs and after 19:00 hrs. Carrying out the survey will be weather dependent. # Clonard Estate, Sandyford * Footpath repair works will continue until Wednesday, 13 th September 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. Cherrywood Estate ** Footpath and road restoration works will continue until Friday, 15 th September 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. Stop /Go Prior Temporary Traffic Management System will be in operation during the works. Page 4 of 7

5 R118 / Wyattville Dual Carriageway, Cherrywood **** The delivery of the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone will involve significant construction works over the next 8 months in the Cherrywood area. The first phase of infrastructure provision for the Cherrywood Strategic Development Zone will be delivered by JCL the joint venture between John Cradock Ltd. / Jons Civil Engineering. Major road works began on the Wyattville Dual Carriageway between M50 Junction 16 and the N11 at Cherrywood, on 9 th February 2017 and will continue for the remainder of the year. The primary focus of this phase of the infrastructure works is the upgrade of the Wyattville Roundabout to a signalised junction, and upgrade of Tullyvale Road, involving road construction, road drainage, public lighting, provision of utilities, etc. Traffic restrictions will be in place for the duration and delays can be expected. It is intended to retain two lanes of traffic inbound and outbound. Please note that Pay and Display parking on Tullyvale Road will cease permanently from 1 st February 2017, however, Pay and Display parking is available adjacent to the Brides Glen Luas stop, on Cherrywood Avenue Extension. From the 24 th April 2017, traffic shall be reduced to 1 lane in both directions on the R118 Wyattville Link Rd between the N11 and M50 from 10am and 4pm daily. This is to facilitate the installation of new service crossings across the R118 Wyattville Link Road in multiple locations. From the 24 th April 2017, it is also intended to install barriers to the median of the R118 Wyattville Link Rd (between the M50 and Cherrywood Roundabout) to facilitate works in the median. Wyattville Road Pedestrian and Cycle Scheme *** Work commenced on the Wyattville Road Pedestrian and Cycle Scheme on Monday, 8 th May 2017 between and hrs. Monday to Friday. The scheme involves the upgrade of Wyattville Road between Wyattville Close and Churchview Road and is expected to continue until May Killiney Hill Road, Killiney (Phase 2 - Road Closure) *** Footpath Restoration works will continue on Killiney Hill Road. From Monday, 28 th August 2017 works will progress into PHASE 2:- KILLINEY AVENUE to MILITARY ROAD. In order to facilitate footpath restoration works within Phase 2, KILLINEY HILL ROAD PHASE 2 ROAD CLOSURE will be in place from its junction with KILLINEY AVENUE to its junction with MILITARY ROAD for duration of 2 weeks commencing from: - 28 th August 2017 ending on:-11 th September During Phase 2 Works:- 1. A Manned Road Closure will be in operation during Working Hours. Page 5 of 7

6 2. Access / Egress will be maintained at all times for Emergency Services, local resident, businesses and Refuse collection. 3. Access to Killiney Beach and Killiney train station will remain open Via Seafield Road and / or Military Road from Ballybrack Village. 4. Businesses within the Road Closure will remain open for Business as Usual. 5. A signed detour will be in place for Non-Residents and HGVs listed as follows:- Traffic approaching from Shankill and Environs will be diverted (At Roundabout at R832 Killiney Hill Road) Via:-Shanganagh Road, Church Road, Ballinclea Road, Killiney Hill Road. Traffic approaching from Dalkey, Killiney and Environs will be diverted Via (At Junction of Dalkey Ave / Killiney Road) Via:-Killiney Hill Road, Ballinclea Road, Church Road, Shanganagh Road. Please note the Road Closure and Traffic Management arrangements within the road closure will remain in place DURING NIGHTTIME HOURS FOR THE FULL DURATION OF PHASE 2. Nighttime supervision of the Road Closure will be in operation. Frascati Shopping Centre Extension *** Right Turn into Shopping Centre from City Centre - Closed Straight Ahead into Shopping Centre from Rock Hill - Closed In order to facilitate the on-going extension works at Frascati Shopping Centre the existing right turn lane, on the outbound carriageway from the City Centre and the existing straight ahead movement from Rock Hill into Frascati Shopping Centre will be closed temporarily. The temporary closures of the right hand turning lane and straight ahead movement from Rock Hill are to facilitate the on-going construction process for the new underground car park. A one-way traffic management system will be implemented on site to facilitate the works. Car park attendants will be deployed at peak times within the shopping centre to ensure that shopping centre traffic operates smoothly during the period of the development works. Diversions will be in place to direct traffic towards the shopping centre entrance at the end of Georges Avenue. Monkstown Village Improvement Scheme *** Work commenced on the Monkstown Village Improvement Scheme on Monday, 24th April 2017 between and hrs. - Monday to Friday. Works affecting two-way traffic through the Village are restricted between 10:00 and 16:00 hours. The current phase of works is along the south side of Carrickbrennan Road up to Goggins Pub. From Wednesday, 16 th August at 8am the area in front of the Church of Ireland will be made two-way and Clifton Avenue will be made one-way towards Seapoint Avenue. Page 6 of 7

7 This is in line with the final design of the scheme. A Traffic Management Plan will be in operation and information relating to the scheme will be available at: Avondale Crescent, Killiney ** Footpath restoration works will continue until 15 th September 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. North Avenue, Blackrock ** Road and footpath restoration works will commence on Monday, 21 st August 2017 to Saturday, 23 rd September 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs. Public Lighting Lantern and Bracket Upgrade Works ** Public lighting lantern and bracket upgrade works will take place on: 1. Drummartin Link Road 2. Kilmacud Road Upper 3. Sandyford Road 4. Deansgrange Road 5. Clonkeen Road 6. Blackthorn Drive 7. Kill Lane/Avenue 8. Enniskerry Road 9. Clonskeagh Road 10. Leopardstown Road 11. Frascati Road These works will continue until Friday, 22 nd December A Stop / Go Traffic Management Plan will be in operation as required. Stillorgan Laneways * Civil works and laneway upgrade works will commence on Monday, 14 th August 2017 until Saturday, 23 rd September 2017 between 08:00 and 18:00 hrs.
