These projects are generally consdered nfrastructure-related, and nclude the desgn and constructon of hghways and roadways, water storage, treatment, and transmsson systems, wastewater conveyance and treatment systems, flood control facltes (ncludng dams), muncpal arports, schools, recreatonal facltes, and alternatve energy projects. Publc Works projects are typcally commssoned and fnanced by government enttes, and by extenson of tax revenue, the publc tself. As such, these projects can be very hgh profle, as they requre a hgh level of accountablty to taxpayers. Subsequently, effcent project management and strct adherence to budgetary constrants s key to the success of these projects. JBA has been closely nvolved wth publc works and captal mprovement projects snce our ncepton n Our frst sgnfcant muncpal project, the desgn of a water treatment faclty and muncpal arport for the Cty of Hawthorne, CA, paved the way for 68 years of muncpal experence that helped to establsh close professonal relatonshps wth numerous publc agences n Southern Calforna. Our major publc works successes nclude cvl engneerng for the orgnal constructon of Ontaro Internatonal Arport, engneerng desgn of 23 mles of 48" water transmsson man lne n San Bernardno, CA, engneerng desgn of 70 mles of mscellaneous-sze water transmsson man lne Phelan, CA, engneerng desgn of Champons Park n Inyo County, CA, and engneerng desgn of a 66" water transmsson man lne for the Metropoltan Water Dstrct of Southern Calforna (MWD) n Cadz, CA. In the last year, JBA has provded constructon management servces to the Lake Arrowhead Communty Servces Dstrct (LACSD) for the Grass Valley Recycled Water Project and project management/engneerng consultng servces to the San Bernardno Valley Water Conservaton Dstrct (SBVWCD) Santa Ana Groundwater Recharge Project. Recently, the San Bernardno County Flood Control Dstrct (SBVFCD) awarded JBA the Rmforest Hydrology Feasblty Study Project. JBA's survey crews currently provde on-call surveyng servces to the ctes of San Bernardno and Loma Lnda. In addton, JBA s currently nvolved wth varous largescale Alternatve Energy and "green" projects n Calforna (see Appendx A ). Our frm s convenently located on Arrowhead Avenue n the Cty of San Bernardno, affordng us quck access to numerous muncpaltes n Southern Calforna (wthn walkng dstance of most County of San Bernardno offces, a 15-mnute drve from most Rversde County offces, and wthn an hour of most Los Angeles County offces). We beleve that our software development efforts have served to strengthen our publc agency relatonshps by provdng an ongong collaboraton between our hydrology/hydraulcs software developers and County Flood Control Dstrcts. Flood Control & Water Resources Engneerng JBA has a long hstory of successful muncpal flood control and water resources projects, due n part to the ongong development of hydrology and hydraulcs software by our sster company, Cvldesgn Corporaton. We have provded professonal engneerng desgn servces for the new constructon of large flood control channels, basns, dams, and ponds, recharge basns, reservors, and evaporaton ponds, and have prepared hydraulc analyses, scour analyses, and floodplan analyses for the mprovement, repar, and protectve measures of numerous exstng flood control structures n Southern Calforna.
