Old tmers say that n 1887 a group of Kngmantes stole the county records n the dark of nght and brought them back to Kngman.

Wth travelers came prosperty to Kngman as a trade and transportaton center. Route 66 has snce been an essental part of the Kngman personalty.

In 1880, Lews Kngman followed much of Beale Road whle surveyng for the Atlantc and Pacfc Ralroad.
