Good for most of you, but I ll sure suffer. REMEMBER, the June 11 shoot is at Southworth s farm (near the Eau Claire Dells). The address is E20883 State Hwy 52, Aniwa, WI There is also a map included in this Short Fuse. Manufacturing will be at Wildlife Campground on Friday. Light manufacturing will be available at Southworth s Saturday (fusing, wicking and sticking). Manufacturing will be available Saturday morning at Wildlife also, check with Dan or Bill. Larry Huber s Getting Legal seminar will be at Southworth s at 1:00 PM. This is the seminar you want to attend if you do not currently hold an ATF license and want to get legal. There are several different types of ATF licenses and one of them could be right for you. Larry will explain the differences and the steps you should take to obtain one. PLEASE paint your shells or headings in flasher orange. If we need to find something that didn t go off, this makes it ALOT faster and easier. That being said, we don t have a 10:00 PM curfew, so we will have more dark sky for the big pretties and bushy tails. Sheila and Larry are bringing the main dish for the potluck, spaghetti and lots of meat and sausage sauce, so you can plan what you bring for the potluck from there. The meeting and potluck are at Southworth s of course. Please bring your own chairs. Jeannie will be taking orders for the club logo clothing (Saturday is the deadline) and Jerry will be giving an update for the club table at the PGI trade show. This will be the time to fill in the remaining time slots for the week! See you all Saturday, if not before. Bring lots of stuff! Barb

All campsites in our area are $15.00 per night. They have electric and water. It comes in handy, even if you tent! We rent a porta potty for our shoots, so that is available during the weekend. There is a campground bar, and they have pizzas and beverages available. WPAG has a contracted rate at the Quality Inn in Wittenberg. It is a good savings off their regular rate. 13 The Safety Corner Steve Hubing, WPAG Safety Director Our next shoot of the year is quickly approaching and it s time to once again to have some fun with fireworks. While we all love to watch the shells, rockets, and Class C fireworks do their thing in the night sky, we do have to remember that, while it s fun to light the fuse and watch the beauty that unfolds as they head skyward, fireworks are explosive devices and they don t always behave the way we want them to. To help keep us safe, here a few suggestions and reminders I would like you to know and think about. Safety personal must be present on any of the shoot lines before fireworks can be shot. Shooters and helpers must all wear safety glasses when on the shoot lines. Class B fireworks (shells and rockets) shooters must wear hard hats when on the shoot lines. You must be a current WPAG member to be on the shoot lines or in the fallout areas. This means that guests cannot be within a fallout area during open shooting times. All Class B devices not being electrically fired, must have fuse on them that gives the shooter a minimum of 6 seconds from the time the device is lit to the time it hits the quick match or rocket propellant. Visco fuse is preferred. Shooters on the B lines should keep themselves covered by the blast shields when a device is launched. Everyone should be aware of what s going on. It s easy to be talking and get distracted and not notice a shell or rocket heading your way. If you re sitting in a potential fallout area, consider wearing safety glasses and hard hats, even if you re only watching and not actively shooting fireworks If you re in a manufacturing area, you must always wear safety glasses.
14 Clothing Orders If you are interested in ordering t-shirts, hats, zip hoodies and/or a zippered bag please do so at the June meeting. If you did not pick up an order form at the May meeting, please go to the club website and print one, fill it out and give it to me along with your check or exact cash at the June meeting. The club website is All orders must be paid for upon ordering. Checks preferred. Make payable to WPAG. We will be using the state s outline design this year, the design shown on the green shirt. Deadline to order is at the June 11 shoot. Thank you Jeannie Hubing W2255 State Highway 73 Granton, WI Our beautiful WPAG quilt for the PGI convention. Thank you to all who contributed and to Arlene Szot for putting it all together.
