The list was a bit delayed today as it took me an extra four hours to drive back from Ottawa last night. Anyway I love our snow and I love our country, here is the weekly list for you. Prices are in Canadian funds. Payment by credit card, cheque, etc as usual. Taxes are extra, if applicable. A rare and legitimate usage of the 20 Quebec. $1,000.00

3 Item rate before Wartax imposed 1915, 1 Admiral tied by Toronto machine cancel on OHMS censored cover (from Soldier). Originally sent free, entered in to Toronto, franked and sent as 1 drop letter. Canadian soldiers in Europe had free-franking privileges if their mail had a military postmark or a censor marking. When such mail arrived in Canada, a further handling was necessary by the P.O. Dept to affix the correct postage to avoid the letter being taxed and the recipient charged. This 1915 soldier s cover entered in Toronto before War Tax was imposed and mailed as a drop letter rate. Scarce. 21 Item Two interprovincial covers , two Papineauville LC covers both paid 3d paying 3d interprovincial rate to Fredericton. The October 1856 cover took 3 days Montreal to Woodstock and the Feb 1857 cover took 8 days Montreal to Woodstock via Quebec. Price for the pair. $250.00
