We had some great parties for the month of June. I want to say a special thanks to Cora Villanueva and Rod Mineke for the great party they put on June 21st. We all had a great time and the food was awesome. See attached flyer for more details. Clover Island and Richland Yacht Club have a lot of great parties coming up in August. Be sure to RSVP to the host if you are going to participate. Richland Yacht Club is having a USCG Boating Safety Class, Suddenly In Command July 19, 2014 from 9am to 2pm at RYC, Host is Roy Keck. See the flyer on the board at Clover Island Yacht Club for more details. Please no construction debris is to be put in either the club dumpster or the Port dumpster at the boat launch. As a reminder again, please be sure to get your insurance policies for your boat and/or boathouse to the club so we can keep them on record. 2 A few reminders: Members are responsible for security around the club, if you see anyone you don t recognize, introduce yourself and find out who they are. Do not loan out your keys to anyone, guests are allowed on the docks only when you are present, you are responsible for your guests. If the dumpster is full, DO NOT stack garbage in front of the dumpster, the garbage driver will not move it and it just gets spread all around the dumpster area creating a big mess. If you find the dumpster is full please take your trash to the dumpster near the boat ramp. Please keep your dogs on a leash at all times around the club and on the docks. Also please clean up after your pet. Please use the metal, heavy duty dock carts (located in the haul out) for any construction materials or debris. The fiberglass and plastic dock carts are not meant for the heavy construction use. Please clean out any debris from the carts after you use them. Remember to return the carts to the top of the ramp immediately after using them.

Sun Mon Tue Wed Thur Fri Sat 1 General Membership Meeting th of July Friday Night BBQ 5 12 This meeting is proceeded by a potluck dinner at 6:30 PM. Hosted by Richland Yacht Club June 15, Father s day Brunch.. Hosted by Richland Yacht Club, June 21, 2014 Beach Party.. Hosted by Richland Yacht Club, Bruce and Deb Carlisle June 27-29, Umatilla Day's Cruise.. Hosted by Sigler/Wold We had 15 boats on the cruise and numerous RV s participating for this event. This was another record year for this event. Head count was over 100 members and guest combinations for both CIYC and UYC. The Hosts had a big job to feed this record turnout and with the help of the membership s volunteers to set up, cook, serve and clean up; all went well and made this a huge success for both CIYC and the Umatilla Yacht Club. Thanks to all the members for all the delicious side dishes and Horderves. CIYC sponsored the food on Friday night, Saturday breakfast and Saturday dinner. UYC sponsored another fabulous Sunday morning breakfast with all the trimmings. The Saturday night fireworks display was absolutely fabulous and a major hit with all of us. Once again, thanks to all our Hosts and their committees on these events!! Their efforts and the club participation is what make our outings a wonderful success. (It can t be done without ALL of you!) We mean to thank all of you that help the hosts in these club events too even if we miss calling you out by name. Reminder: It is extremely important, when applicable, to sign up early to help in the planning for the food and entertainment to support events. Contact the event host with the number in your party that will attend. See Flyers in the newsletter and posted for details. reminders will be sent out too. Events for July 2014: July 4, 2014 Old Fashioned Barbeque Hosted by Sedgwick/Sarpolus/Coffland/Lomax 6:00 Social Hour, 7:00 Dinner, Hamburgers & Hotdogs, Potato Salad, Chips, Pop and Water. BYOB. This was another record event with a record turn out... An estimated head count was over 102 guest and the membership turn out of over 100. The Hosts had their hands full just trying to keep up with hungry members and their guest.three waves attacked the serving line, just when the cooks thought they had turned out enough hot dogs and hamburgers from the grill the shout came out that another wave hit the line and on went the grill to cook up more. All reports were that there was fun to be had by all. After the feed and games, all relaxed to await the fireworks display..
