CareFlite offers the Critical Care Paramedic course under the authority of the University of Maryland Baltimore County. In addition to two CareFlite employees, the course attracted students from California, Montana, Nevada, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.

7 21 ST ANNUAL FIRST RESPONDER GOLF TOURNAMENT HELD 10/2/14 AT TOUR 18 The day started with a beautiful sunrise that gave no indication of the stormy weather that held off until the afternoon and did not interfere with our tournament. This event could not be held without the support of the sponsoring entities shown above. 8 CAREFLITE RECOGNIZED FOR PROVIDING PROTECTION AND CARE TO BOSQUE COUNTY RESIDENTS BY THE DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION AND SENATOR BRIAN BIRDWELL EBOLA DRILLS HELD WITH BAYLOR SPECIALTY HOSPITAL 11/7 & 11/22 In an effort to be better prepared in the future, CareFlite and Baylor Specialty Hospital held an Ebola Response drill on November 7 th. One in a series, the drills will help the entire DFW community if Ebola is again seen here. Additional photos from the drill are shown below. The following CareFlite employees participated as the actors: Patient Elsa Garcia, Driver Jack McCarty, Medic Codi Hopkins and Medic Heather Gallagher. CareFlite has Ebola ready trucks staged across the region.

10 CAREFLITE AT TEXAS EMS CONFERENCE IN FORT WORTH NOVEMBER The committee organizing our participation at the Texas EMS Conference including our annual Customer Appreciation Party on Sunday night at Billy Bob s did an outstanding job. The displays were new and fresh. 35 years of service to the community was reviewed. A video of more than one hour was produced. An original and current uniform were displayed on mannequins. Old clinical equipment was displayed on an old stretcher. A customer t shirt was produced. The photos speak for themselves. 12 CONGRATULATIONS WINNER OF 2014 EMS EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR AWARDED AT TX EMS CONFERENCE Congratulations to Rebecca Brazeal EMT-P who was named EMS Educator of the year at the Awards Ceremony at the TXEMS Conference in Ft. Worth on 11/15/14! Rebecca s leadership skills in the Clinical Quality & Education Department have led to improvements in many of our processes as well as the education provided to our customers and the clinical staff at CareFlite. COMMUNITY SERVICE ON VETERANS DAY

13 IT S A HELICOPTER IT S A TRUCK CAREFLITE S NEW COURIER VAN FLIES ON THE HIGHWAYS & BYWAYS CareFlite s new courier van spends five days a week on the highways and byways of North Texas bringing supplies and other necessities to CareFlite air and ground ambulance stations across the region from McKinney to Stephenville. A special thanks to Sheldon Cohen for the photo used on and the design of the Ford transit and to Frontend for wrapping the vehicle. The helicopter is a Bell 407GX, the newest addition to CareFlite s fleet. THANKSGIVING HOMEMADE PUMPKIN PIES DELIVERED AROUND THE SYSTEM For the tenth year, about 60 homemade pies from the kitchen of Lynn Swartz were delivered across the system for Thanksgiving.
