3 RECREATIONAL PILOT LICENCE Recreational Pilot Licence RPL During this stage students fly in Cessna 152 s and learn how to handle the aircraft through simple manoeuvres. The course runs Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm for 8 weeks. Students will be under the supervision of a qualified instructor and will learn to fly the aircraft and learn all its essentials in the theory classes. Students will experience their first solo flight during this course, this is a fantastic achievement for students and brings them a step closer to achieving their milestones. Flight + Theory Dual Solo Simulator Theory Flight Test Total For successful entry into Basair Aviation College, students must be over the age of 17 (or 18 if they are International.) Students must have completed a Class 1 or Class 2 medical assessment prior to the commencement of the course. The Private Pilot Licence Course is delivered over a period of 8 weeks. The course runs from Monday to Friday, 8am 5pm. Flight + Theory Dual Solo Simulator Flight Test Theory Total After completing their Private Pilot Licence, students can enrol in the Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Flight Operations). 4 CERTIFICATE III IN AVIATION (REMOTE PILOT) Certificate III in Aviation Remote Pilot - Visual Line of Sight - AVI30813G Basair Aviation College is the first Registered Training Organisation in Australia to offer a qualification in Remote Pilot Aviation Systems. The course is offered either full-time or part-time. The full-time course takes 8 days to complete. Students will be trained on handling a remote pilot aircraft, regulatory requirements, human factor considerations and current technologies. Graduates will be well prepared for a career as a Remote Pilot Operator. 5 DIPLOMA OF AVIATION (CPL) Diploma of Aviation Commercial Pilot Licence Aeroplane - AVI50215 CRICOS course code: B The AVI50215 Diploma of Aviation (Commercial Pilot Licence - Aeroplane) is designed for students that have never flown before, but want a career in aviation. It is a full time, 42 week course with compulsory attendance from Monday to Friday. There are 2 weeks of holidays during the 42 weeks. Occasionally flights, briefings and assessments may occur outside of normal operating hours and attendance will be compulsory. Basair Aviation College provides comprehensive theory instruction, as well as high quality flight instruction, assisting students to pass theory exams swiftly. Graduates will be prepared for the CASA Commercial Pilot Licence flight test, and their first steps in their aviation career. Successful students will be awarded a AVI50415 Diploma of Aviation (Instrument Rating) which is a nationally recognised academic qualification. For successful entry into Basair Aviation College, students must be over the age of 18 and already hold a CPL. Students must have completed a Class 1 medical assessment prior to the commencement of the course. This course is a full-time course spanning 16 weeks from Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm. 8 Core Units To gain the Diploma of Aviation (FI) a successful assessment outcome for a total of at least 12 units comprising of; 8 core units must be achieved, listed below, plus; 4 elective units. At least 2 of the elective units must be selected from the elective units list below. Up to 2 elective units with appropriate contextualisation may be selected from any currently endorsed national Training Package or accredited course. Where the choice of a unit from another currently endorsed national Training Package or accredited course is made, this unit must come from a qualification or course at Certificate IV level or above and must contribute towards the vocational outcome of the qualification. DIPLOMA OF AVIATION (FI) Diploma of Aviation Flight Instructor - AVI50510 CRICOS course code: G The AVI50510 Diploma of Aviation (Flight Instructor) is a 16 week course designed to get students through their Flight Instructor Rating assessment with CASA, and prepare them for their career as an instructor. The course runs from 8am - 5pm Monday to Friday. It is targeted at students who want to work for a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) as a Flight Instructor. Students train to be an instructor in a Cessna 152 with a Grade 1 instructor. Candidates will also be required to pass a theory assessment run by a Senior Basair Instructor prior to qualifying for the course. This assessment is typically done only after a student pases their Commercial Pilot Licence flight test. For successful entry into Basair Aviation College, students must be over the age of 18.
