Happy New Year to you and your Aggie! Hope the new year has gotten off to a great start for everyone and as part of your new year resolutions, I hope you will join us for our General Meeting on Monday, January 16 at the Gallery Event Room in Plano. As always, we begin with a social time at 7 p.m. where you can meet new Aggie mom friends and catch up with friends you might not have seen in a while. Following our social time, we will have a guest speaker and brief business meeting. In addition, we will be honoring our December graduates. Looking back on our Fall Semester, it seems to have blown through with a whirlwind of events and activities. We started off the semester with our Howdy Party and New Moms Tea to welcome all our new Collin County Aggie students, families and moms. After which, things really got rolling with our first Aggie Moms Connecting event at Rally House and the start of our Pecan and Poinsettia sales, both of which were again very successful fundraisers for CCAM this year. (Thank you to our co-chairs for each of these fundraisers for all their hard work!) Of course, Aggie football was in full swing during this time and many of you enjoyed attending the games and tailgating. Our very own Aggie Angels were busy matching up our new Aggie Moms with a seasoned Aggie Mom to help in their transition to becoming Aggies. Our goodie bags team delivered awesome soft sided cooler/lunch totes filled with munchies and coupons to our Aggies to help them BTHO finals. Our general meetings were all very well attended, even with a last minute change in meeting venue for our November meeting! And we rounded out the semester with a Holiday Cookie Exchange and participation in the Dallas County Aggie Moms Club Howdy Holiday Craft Bazaar. As you can see, there s a lot happening with CCAM and even more fun events and social activities planned for the Spring 2017 semester! Hope you will join us. It s never to late to get more involved in our club activities. The Federation of Texas A&M Mothers Clubs will be hosting its winter meeting in College Station on Friday and Saturday, January All Aggie Moms are invited! Dinner Friday night will be held at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center on the TAMU campus. T h e S a t u r d a y m e e t i n g a n d workshops are held in the Memorial Student Center (MSC) and a social hour will follow at CC Creations. Check the Federation website for more details marks the 35th Anniversary Celebration of Collin County Aggie Moms! We will be celebrating this achievement on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the Noah s Event Venue in Fairview. So please mark your calendars to attend this event and help us spread the word. More information will follow. Believe it or not, it s time to start thinking about officer positions for next year s board. Please consider joining the CCAM Board for school year. It is truly a rewarding experience. If you have a desire to serve in a board or committee position, please let me know of your interest. Thanks & Gig em! Suzan York 86 Mom of Elise 16 General Meeting January 16 Please join on Monday, January 16 as our guest speaker will be Kym Webster. Kym founded While You Work, Inc., 16 years ago with the intent to simplify people's lives. She does this by saving them time, keeping them organized, and allowing them to concentrate on their jobs as well as family and leisure time. As a working parent, Kym learned the importance of this balance. Her previous business experience includes four years in the non-profit world, and 16 years in the corporate world. Kym s last corporate position was Director of Global Community Affairs for Electronic Data Systems (EDS).

Each word and action have been a great support to me over the last few months since his hospitalization the first week in September. Steve was a maroon blooded Aggie through his last days as we watched three Aggie football games in his hospital room while he was in his Aggie hat wrapped in an Aggie blanket. He was a great supporter of Collin County Aggie Moms and I will miss him greatly, especially at all the Aggie events that we attended together. My Aggie Mom sisters have given me much strength while my faith that Steve is resting in the glorious presence of our Lord gives me daily peace. I love you all.
