KEY TES REGARDING TOWNSHIP POLICIES: Snow removal/leaf and brush disposal/alternate parking All township ordinances are now online at with other information regarding Belleville Township policies and events. Township residents are encouraged not to shovel snow into the streets when clearing their sidewalks. This is an offense that will be accompanied by a summons. Alternate side parking gives the township utilities access to perform maintenance repairs to the water, sewer, roadway, curb, and drainage. It also allows for emergency roadway clearance (traffic flow). Alternate side parking is mandatory and will be strictly enforced by the police department. The Leaf, Grass, and Brush Collection will be made every week from April 1 to December 15th. ***Garbage, recycling, and leaf bags are to be put out after 5:00pm the night before pickup. Garbage cans, recycling containers, and leaf bags are to be placed behind curb on planting strip for pickup. It is also recommended that you put out your waste the night before so you do not miss early morning pickups. Leaf bags are not to be more then 40lbs. Leaves and brush are to be put in brown paper bags and left at the curb for pickup according to what zone you are in. It is not acceptable to dump leaves and brush in the street. Brush and branches must be placed at the curb tied in bundles no longer than four feet. No plastic bags or containers with rock and other debris will be collected. Any loose leaves, grass or brush in the street will not be collected and will be subject to a summons. Please note that no garbage or recycling containers shall be left at the curb after pick-ups. Recycle it Together
