Each Friday is an early release day for elementary school students. Riverton High School and the middle schools are on a traditional schedule from the last week of August until the first week of June.

1 Welcome to Riverton, Utah Riverton Schools Riverton elementary schools are on a year-round track based schedule (9 weeks in school, 3 weeks out). The school year begins the last week of July continues until the end of June, with the first three weeks of July as a holiday month for all tracks. Each Friday is an early release day for elementary school students. 3 Neighborhood Events Fourth of July Breakfast - 8:00 AM at the soccer park pavilion on 2700 West. Celebrate the Fourth of July with your neighbors at this annual potluck breakfast. Breakfast will begin with a flag ceremony by the Boy Scouts. Remember to bring chairs or blankets to sit on the pavilion won t hold us all! Snow Removal Rules Do not park a motor vehicle, travel trailer, horse trailer, utility trailer or other like vehicle on any street between November 1 st and April 1 st, for a period of time longer than three minutes when loading or unloading passengers or for a period of time longer than thirty minutes when loading, unloading or delivering property between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Violation of this ordinance shall be punishable by citation or impounding and removal of the vehicle. Trash Pickup Trash (brown or green bins) every Wednesday Recyclables (blue bin) -- every other Wednesday. On collection days, place your recycling container at the curb with the handle facing your house. Be sure the container is within two feet of the curb and at least four feet from any obstructions such as lampposts, mailboxes, fences and other waste containers. During collection hours, please do not park vehicles on the street near containers. Use your recycling container for the following recyclable items only: aluminum, tin, cardboard, paper, plastics No. 1 and No. 2 (which consists of liter pop bottles, milk jugs, water and other natural colored plastics, colored laundry detergent bottles or any other bottled labeled No. 1 or No. 2), plastic bags, bubble wrap, phone books, magazines, and small appliances (toasters, fry pans, coat hangers, etc.). All items must be inside the blue container. DO NOT use your recycling container for normal household or yard waste. Do not put junk mail, glass, carbon paper, Styrofoam, diapers, used bathroom or facial tissue in this container. Please do not place plastic syringes in your recycle container. They are a biohazard item and can endanger Waste Management employees. Please make sure you place syringes in an appropriate bio-hazard container. Dumpsters are available for delivery Monday, Wednesday, or Friday for 48-hour spring cleanup for $25.00 from April 1 st to October 31 st. Residential use only. One dumpster rental per address, per season. You may make reservations in person at the Riverton Civic Center beginning March 1 st.
