2 METHODOLOGY The Holiday Travel survey was conducted online. The link for the survey was posted: o On SEPTA.org Customer Service Survey page: o On SEPTA s Facebook page o tweets o Alert tweets o Customer Service tweets Through these channels, 267 surveys were completed by SEPTA riders 1

3 KEY FINDINGS 72% of respondents planned on taking SEPTA for leisure and shopping trips this holiday season Over half of those traveling for leisure planned to utilize Regional Rail (71%) and the Market-Frankford Line (55%) for leisure trips and shopping travel Of those traveling for leisure, 71% planned on shopping in Center City 72% of respondents took at least one leisure or shopping trip using SEPTA this holiday season; 54% expected to make 3 or more leisure or shopping trips, and roughly a third (35%) planned to take 5 or more leisure trips 50% of respondents traveled outside SEPTA service area for the holidays The most common means of transport outside SEPTA service were car (60% of those leaving Philly area), Amtrak (35%) and NJ Transit (20%) 85% of respondents recommend SEPTA for holiday leisure travel 2

13 HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE WITH SEPTA Over half of respondents (51%) have an interest in SEPTA Transit Store shopping and a third have ridden or seen a SEPTA holiday vehicle, with another 38% expressing an interest in riding one.
