7 Emergency Office Closing Authorized Personnel will be responsible for determining delays or closings of Extension Facilities. Procedures for determining closings or delays are: 1. Point of Contact: County Staff Coordinator 2. County Office Staff Coordinators must receive approval from the District Director. 3. General Rule: County Government Office Closings help justify closing the Extension Office; such as County Clerk s Office, Judicial Center, or Courthouse. Other examples include: State of Emergency issued by County Judge; or a Level 3 Emergency Warning no vehicles allowed on the road unless emergency. 4. County Staff Coordinators will notify all affected employees of any changes in operations. 5. County Staff Coordinator will issue Public Notice of Closing if possible.

11 Holiday Leave Christmas Day December 25, 2017 Monday Special Holidays/Bonus Days ** To receive the Special Holidays, you must be employed in a regular position on or before October 29, December 26, 2017 December 27, 2017 December 28, 2017 December 29, 2017 Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday New Year s Day January 1, 2018 Monday Martin Luther King Jr. Day January 15, 2018 Monday Memorial Day May 28, 2018 Monday Independence Day July 4, 2018 Wednesday Staff must be employed in a regular position on or before Sunday, October 29, 2017 to receive these days. Regular employees with an FTE of 0.5 or greater shall be granted (4) Special Holidays (Bonus Days) off with pay on a pro-rata basis. Employees who leave employment at UK prior to January 1, 2018, are not eligible for Special Holidays. In addition, employees who take any Special Holidays in advance and leave employment before the January 1, 2018, date may be required to repay any advanced Special Holidays taken.

14 Draft Layout 2018 Biggest change is that you will now select Day Trip or Overnight Trip* Day trips have no per diem so Lodging, B, L, D was taken out to clean it up. Lodging, B, L, D will appear on Overnight option Program Category* Dropdown box with your choices (ANR, FCS, 4-H, etc.) Business Purpose* Short description of the trip (i.e. 4-H School Clubs, Picking up supplies for Diabetes Program, Farm Visit Cattle Handling facility design etc.) Destination* Identifiable location (i.e. SMS Elementary School, Farmer Jones, Sam s Club Lexington ) *Required Fields 14
15 Draft Layout 2018 Keep in mind this is still a DRAFT Layout may change Changes are only occurring on the Expenses Record page Change is in anticipation of using the TRIP system beginning Jan 1 for pilot counties and Jul 1 for rest of state. One pilot county in each District will be using both KERS and TRIP. Changes in KERS will benefit Agents when completing TRIP requirements New Mileage Log will be printed for purposes of loading into TRIP as an attachment (as required by UK Travel) Feedback from those pilot counties will determine the final look and use of KERS We welcome your feedback as well! 15
