Box 1200 Talent, OR U.S.A Visit us at: New York Central Road Numbers NYC / These 33 USRA panel side twin bay hoppers are painted box car red with white logo and lettering. They come with a coal load and run on Andrews trucks. These hoppers were built in October 1922 and rebuilt in February Principally used for rebuilding, the raised panel sides featured on this model were originally developed out of a need to provide parts to repair heavily used and rusted hoppers and increase capacity at the same time. Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Road Number CB&Q # $17.80 # $17.80 This 36 riveted steel side caboose is painted aluminum, sports the red, white and black BURLINGTON ROUTE herald, and is lettered in black. It was built between February and March 1930 and serviced in May It runs on black Bettendorf swing-motion caboose trucks. This Class NE-10 car was numbered into the series and originally painted into the standard mineral red scheme with white Railroad Roman lettering. In the early 1950s, all of the NE-10s were painted the MOW Orange scheme. In 1959, NE-10 #13501 traded it s MOW Orange paint for the Zephyr-inspired silver scheme. All of the NE-10s were on the roster at the time of the merger in March # $23.55 Canadian/Canadien National Road Number CN July 2007 This 50 gondola with straight sides, drop ends and carrying a pulpwood load, is painted CN brown has white lettering and runs on black National B-1 trucks. One of 70 gondolas built in 1937 as part of series , renumbered into series in the 1960s and rebuilt for lead-zinc ore service in 1973, ultimately being renumbered into the series. This car was last shopped by the CN in August of NEW PULPWOOD LOAD! Northern Pacific Road Number NP 255 # $22.05 This orange 39 single dome tank car has black lettering and runs on black Bettendorf trucks. Originally built in August of 1920 and converted from UTLX 66497, NP 255 was used to test and calibrate track scales while it carried this simple paint scheme near the end of its long life with the NP. 2 Delaware State Car Road Number DE 1787 USS The Sullivans Navy Series #7 Road Number DD-537 This 40 standard box car with plug door is car #50 of a 50-car series representing each of the 50 states in the union. It bears the Blue Hen Chicken and Peach Blossom fl ower, Delaware s offi cial state bird and fl ower. The fl ag of the state of Delaware is in the background. The road number 1787 represents the year The First State was admitted into the union. USS The Sullivans was launched in San Francisco, California, on 4 April By direction of President Franklin Roosevelt it was named for the fi ve Sullivan brothers who lost their lives aboard the USS Juneau when it was sunk by a Japanese sub off Guadalcanal on 13 November The Sullivans served in WWII, Korea, the Cuban blockade and the rescue efforts of the sub Thresher. It was decommissioned 7 January 1965 and donated in 1977 to the City of Buffalo, NY, where it now resides as a memorial. # $19.85 Note: The U.S. Navy Series will be concluding July 2008 # $18.95 Boston & Maine Road Number BM This 50 standard box car with single Youngstown door is painted B&M Blue with dark sills and doors. The sides bear the entwined McGinnis herald in dark blue and white. The car was built in May 1956 and runs on black roller bearing trucks. Pullman-Standard supplied Boston & Maine 1000 of PS-1 box cars in May of Series was the fi rst to be stenciled in their new scheme with blue & white McGinnis extended entwined BM logo. This herald has since been used in many sizes and color combinations, dark blue & white and black & white. Montana Rail Link Road Number MRL This 61 8 bulkhead fl at car is painted Montana Rail Link Blue and lettered in white. It runs on Barber roller bearing trucks and carries a pipe load. This car was built in September 1975 and serviced in October From a 12 car fl eet, it has a load limit 186,000 pounds. The MRL took over portions of the Burlington Northern beginning on midnight October 31, After MRL purchased and repainted the old BN fl eet, dates and data remained unchanged. MRL provides freight service for paper, forest products including lumber, and grain. NEW PIPE LOAD! # $18.25 # $21.70 Milwaukee Road Road Number MILW This 60 8 Thrall centerbeam fl at car has large black MILWAUKEE ROAD lettering and runs on black Barber roller bearing trucks. Thrall Manufacturing Co. built this 100 car series for Milwaukee Road in February and March of They were acquired by the Soo Line in the mid 1980s, which was not quick to repaint. The CHTT in the consolidated stencil box signifi es that this car was fi rst run by the Chicago Heights Transfer Terminal Railroad serving the Thrall plant. These cars were from a design used by Canadian National and centerbeam cars soon became an industry standard due to the ease loading and securing lumber loads. WP was one of the fi rst roads to use this new design. Now Available! 3 YOUR SOURCE FOR Z Northern Pacific Road Numbers NP 373/374 NEW Z SCALE GP-9 LOCOMOTIVE! The EMD GP-9 is a 4-axle diesel locomotive built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division between January 1954 and August One of four EMDs built as part of EMD order 5560 in September of 1958 for the Northern Pacifi c, GP9 (373/374) became BN (1952/1953) after the Burlington Northern merger. # $ # $ Soo Line Road Number SOO LINE This 40 despatch stock car with single door is painted box car red with white lettering and runs on black Andrews trucks. Stock cars were used all over the railroad until about 1960, when shipping by rail was no longer economical. There was a stopover stock yard at Glenwood that was employed to offl oad, water and feed; then continue the shipment to Chicago or St. Paul. There were a lot of cattle only trains in the late 1940s, and it would take a fair bite out of a day to water and feed. The cattle were coming from Montana, the plains of northern Minnesota, or the Dakotas, and they would really need the rest when they arrived at Glenwood. A forty car train was not uncommon during the fall of the year. Baltimore & Ohio Road Number B&O This 50 gondola with fi shbelly sides, drop ends and stone load is black and lettered in C&O Federal Safety Yellow. It runs on black Barber roller bearing trucks. Built in July 1937 by Bethlehem Steel and numbered into the series. In July 1981 the series was serviced at Raceland Shops and stenciled with the Ches-C logo designed by Franklin Carr for the Chessie System. This paint scheme was applied to Chessie System equipment from 1972 through In mid 1986, the Chessie System vanished into the CSX Corporation. Here the Ches-C herald is stenciled just to the right of center. This scheme also includes the use of the Keep Safety Rolling slogan. NEW STONE LOAD! # $18.85 # $22.25 Southern Pacific Road Number SP This 50 standard box car with double Youngstown doors is painted box car red with white SP herald and white lettering. It runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in August 1955, this double-door car is one of thousands built by the SP at the Sacramento Shops during the 50s to meet the growing demand for the larger doors, permitting the use of forklifts and larger loading devices. It wears the original 1955-lettering scheme with block lettering at the right of the car side and the traditional round emblem at the left. The round emblem was dropped for new or repaints a few years later. Southern Pacifi c celebrated its California Centennial in 1955; # was one of a string of fi ve cars amongst the exhibits presented by SP during this celebration. 4 Denver & Rio Grande Western Road Number 0589 This box car red caboose with two window cupola has white Rio Grande speed, white Denver & Rio Grande Western lettering and runs on brown Barber Coleman Arch bar trucks. Built in the early 1900s by the Denver & Rio Grande railroad, this caboose was in was until the road shut down freight operations. There were only six road numbers from Originally, all six had only one window in the side of the cupola, but in 1943, three of them had the cupola rebuilt to two side windows. These were 0584, 0587, and The others all kept the single window. 30 Log Car Produced at the dawn of the 20th Century, the disconnects were the backbone of a number of standard and narrow gauge railroads throughout the western United States. Our model represents an all-steel version equipped with Hercules Logging Bunks that swivel as the prototype does. The resin log load is secured with scale brass tie down chains.
