Originally built for the Colorado and Southern as stock car series in the early 1900s, many of these cars were stripped down to their decks and used as fl at cars without changing the reporting marks or reassigning the cars to a different series Southern Pacific Road Number SP 700 This 56 general service tank car is painted SP dark lark grey, with red ends and side wings, and is lettered in white. It was serviced in May 1974 and runs on Barber roller bearing trucks. This was SP s fi rst and only experiment with the tank car fuel tender concept. SP 700 was not successful with the fi ve modifi ed GP40-2s that ran with this tank car and were subsequently placed back into the freight pool. It runs on Barber roller bearing trucks. Built by Hawker-Siddeley Trenton in July 1975, this car is outfi tted with special bolsters for overhead loading of containers. 2 Northwestern Oklahoma Railroad Road Number NOKL This 61 8 bulkhead fl at car is painted green with white lettering. It was built in April 1975 and carries a pipe load on Barber roller bearing trucks. The Northwestern Oklahoma Railroad Co. (NOKL), located in Woodward, is a shortline that has been running in Oklahoma since The company was founded in February 1973 and operated fi ve miles of track abandoned by the MKT in WITH PIPE LOAD! USS Argonaut Navy Series #8 Road Number SS-166 On 10 January 1943 while on patrol, Argonaut spotted a convoy of fi ve freighters and their destroyer escorts. Argonaut hit at least one of the destroyers with her torpedoes, and they promptly counterattacked. It became apparent that a depth charge had severely damaged the submarine. The destroyers continued circling Argonaut and pumping shells into her. She slipped below the waves and was never heard from again. It was built by Pacifi c Car & Foundry in July 1964 runs on Barber roller bearing trucks. This particular class RPL reefer comes equipped with adjustable Equipco loading or stowing devices and Hydra-Cushion underframe. The Twelve Days of Christmas is widely recognized as a delightful song celebrating Christmas. Many suggest that the Twelve Days of Christmas originated during the 16th century religious wars in England as a song of instruction offering basic references to religious teachings. Bulkhead fl at cars are equipped with fi xed or permanently attached movable bulkheads or ends, a minimum of three feet in height, and fl at fl oor for general commodity loading. Canadian Pacific Road Number CP This 40 box car with plug door is painted action yellow, a color used for insulated cars, with a black and white multimark logo and black lettering. It was built in December 1962, serviced in April 1987, and runs on Bettendorf trucks. In June 1968, Canadian Pacifi c introduced a new corporate image for their entire company. Freight cars were painted in solid colors by type: action yellow for insulated cars and cabooses; action green for newsprint; action red for general merchandize boxcars, gondolas and fl at cars and action silver for refrigerator cars. The uniquely designed multimark consisted of a circle segment and a triangle. In 1988, CP Rail stopped applying the multimark when repainting freight cars.
