1 ctober 2007 October 2007 October 2007 October 2007 October 2007 October Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Road Number ATSF & ATSF Accepting Orders for October Releases Beginning September 28th All Prices U.S. Dollars October 2007 These 89 tri-level open auto racks are painted Santa Fe red with white Santa Fe Circle/Cross & Auto-Veyer placard on left, Super Shock Control in yellow and white on right placard and white lettering. They run on black Barber roller bearing trucks. AT&SF tried using the term auto-veyer for their auto racks, but the term never caught on. These cars also proudly declare their Shock Control equipment for providing a smoother ride for their cargo. These tri-levels were used for autos, while the bi-level auto racks were typically used for transporting trucks and larger cars. Open rack cars such as these gradually became extinct due to the problems with damage and vandalism while in transit. However, they were greatly responsible for securing a vast amount of the automobile delivery traffi c that had been previously lost during the box car era. Chesapeake & Ohio Road Number C&O This 33 USRA panel side twin bay hopper is painted black with large Chesapeake & Ohio herald, reporting marks and various lettering in white. This hopper was built in December 1918, rebuilt in February 1933, and runs on black Andrews trucks. It is released with a coal load. The raised panel sides on this body style were developed in response to the need to replace the sides of heavily used and rusted hoppers and increase capacity at the same time. St. Louis Southwestern Road Number SSW SSW is a registered trademark of the Union Pacific # $17.80 This SP brown 50 fl at car with fi shbelly sides, side mount brake wheel and generator load has white lettering and runs on brown roller bearing trucks. This class F-70-52, 53 6 fl at car was part of a 200 car series built by Thrall Car Manufacturing in April of 1969 and last serviced at SP s Topeka shops in May of NEW GENERATOR LOAD! # $16.90 Louisiana Pacific Road Number USLX # $27.85 # $27.85 This 50 box car with tall ladders, double plug doors and no roofwalk is painted yellow with red and deep red lower bands. The car carries the large LP logo in red and deep red as well as black, red, yellow and white lettering. It runs on roller bearing trucks. Built by Pullman Standard in Septemerb 1971 for the United States Railway Equipment Co. (USLX), this RBL class box car is part of a 50-car series leased by Louisiana Pacifi c. By 1992 there were 19 cars left in the series. # $23.40 Prince Edward Island Provincial Car Road Number PE 1873 This 50 standard box car with single superior door is car #9 of a series representing each of the Canadian provinces and territories. It displays the Blue Jay and Lady s Slipper fl ower, Prince Edward Island s offi cial provincial bird and fl ower. The fl ag of the province of Prince Edward Island is in the background. The road number 1873 represents the year the The Small Under the Protection of the Great province joined the Confederation. # $18.25

2 Diamond Chemicals Road Number GATX Colorado & Southern Road Number CX This 39 single dome tanker with black Bettendorf trucks is painted gray. It carries the black and red Diamond Chemicals logo with black lettering. This tanker, built in November 1952 by General American Transportation Corp. in Sharon, Pennsylvania, carried liquid chlorine for the Diamond Alkali Company. This box car red 40 double-sheathed wood reefer with vertical brake wheel has reefer yellow sides, black side lettering, displays the red, black & white Burlington Road herald, has white end lettering and runs on black Bettendorf trucks. Reefers were designed to haul perishable goods such as meat, dairy products, and beer, any load that required a cool temperature. # $19.95 # $23.95 Sandy River & Rangeley Lake Road Number SR&RL 74 This box car red 30 box car with single door has white lettering and runs on brown Barber Coleman Arch Bar trucks. The Sandy River Railroad was started in 1879 to connect northern Franklin County with Maine Central Railroad, which terminated in Farmington. In 1908, the Sandy River merged with all of the other Franklin County Liliputs and emerged as the Sandy River & Rangeley Lakes Railroad, boasting over 120 miles of track and 13 engines. The Twelve Days of Christmas is widely recognized as a delightful song celebrating Christmas. Many suggest that the Twelve Days of Christmas originated during the 16th century religious wars in England as a song of instruction offering basic references to religious teachings. The caboose displays the white Shadow Keystone monogram with black shadow and white lettering. It was built in July 1942 and serviced in It runs on roller bearing trucks. PRR was stenciled with the large PENNSYLVANIA lettering introduced in the 1950s and the Keystone Monogram introduced during the 1960s The modifi ed calendar-style stenciling for numbers was used during the period 1955 through 1960s. Trailer Train Road Number TTPX / TTPX These 60 bulkhead fl at cars are painted dark box car red with white lettering, and white and yellow Trailer Train logos. They roll on black roller bearing trucks. They have oak decking, oak bulkhead boards and were built by Bethlehem Steel Corporation in Trailer Train cars are seen across the country wherever wood products are transported.
