2 vzw AMAZONE asbl CONGRESS CENTRE FOR NON-PROFIT ORGANISATIONS IN THE HEART OF BRUSSELS Amazone is offering non-profit organisations and institutions professional congress and meeting facilities, including catering. The Amazone Congress Centre has available one conference room and five meeting rooms, as well as a reception area and a large courtyard. Our in-house restaurant service means that you don t have to waste any time organising catering. The elegant, completely renovated building provides a great setting for your conferences, meetings and receptions. Inaugurated in 1995, the building had to offer a support structure for women s organisations. Since then, Amazone has become a resource centre for various actors in the field of gender equality, whether from Belgium or abroad. With its major focus on the environment, Amazone was awarded the two-star Ecodynamic Company label in 2009.

4 vzw AMAZONE asbl PROFESSIONAL CONGRESS AND MEETING FACILITIES Our completely renovated congress facilities offer you an à la carte service tailored to your needs. The main conference room seats 100 people and is equipped with three interpreter booths and projection facilities. For the other meeting rooms, we have on offer a whispered interpreting system as well as projection facilities. At your request, Amazone can also book interpreters. WiFi is available free of charge throughout the building.

6 vzw AMAZONE asbl TASTEFUL SLOW FOOD CATERING FROM OUR RESTAURANT The Amazone restaurant offers tasteful slow food, whether deli sandwiches for a quick snack in the meeting room, a tasty lunch in the restaurant or an opulent reception in an exclusive setting. All meals from our slow food restaurant are homemade using organic ingredients, fair trade products and tasty seasonal vegetables and fruit, for the most part from our own garden. Led by a lady chef, the Amazone restaurant provides the low-skilled and people with disabilities with new opportunities on the labour market. Through hiring our facilities and using our catering service, you will be supporting this social project, as well as Amazone s work as a resource centre for gender equality. The restaurant is open to private individuals and groups (associations and companies) on weekdays from Monday to Friday (middays). It is also available for group events receptions, dinners, etc. at weekends or evenings when booked in advance.

8 vzw AMAZONE asbl REASONABLE PRICES FOR NON-PROFIT AND WOMEN S ORGANISATIONS Non-profit organisations and government agencies can use our conference and meeting facilities and catering service at affordable prices. Special reductions are available under certain conditions. As a resource centre for women s organisations, Amazone offers women s associations favourable rates. The Amazone Congress Centre is also open to private-sector women s networks.

10 vzw AMAZONE asbl CO-WORKING OFFICES FOR BUSINESSWOMEN Is your company in the starting blocks and looking for work premises? Amazone is developing co-working offices specifically for businesswomen, with workplaces that can be tailored to your needs (with/without Internet, PC, telephone, etc.). Short-term and long-term packages are available. Additional services, such as parking, catering and meeting facilities, are available at special rates. Your co-working office is surrounded by the offices of the women s organisations located in our building. The Amazone Documentation Centre staff are at hand, should you need professional advice.

12 vzw AMAZONE asbl TEAM-BUILDING AROUND SUSTAINABLE FOOD? Looking for a unique concept for a team-building event for your organisation? Amazone can arrange a cookery workshop for your staff together with a tasting session, in cooperation with the non-profit organisation Belg@ppétit. During the workshop your staff get the opportunity to learn various culinary techniques together. The workshop is held by two sustainable food experts. Your team will get to know a natural cuisine providing tasty dishes based on fresh herbs, seasonal vegetables and fruit. In doing so, we use as far as possible produce from our own garden Beste Groenten Madame. The cookery workshops take place in the evening in the Amazone kitchens. Cookery workshops can also be arranged for birthday parties or educational purposes.
