3 Welcome, welcome to the Grand Strand Bike Week! Thank you Suck Bang Blow for the great cover art work. Lots of stuff to talk about. See the BOOST ad with all the rules of the road, and Thunder s maps let you know where the helmet laws are in effect. Enough of that. You re here to have a great time, so let s tell you what s happening and where to go. Broken Spoke has S&S and Baker Drive Train nights, great bands and Jay is the Ringmaster of the Biker Show! Lots of bands, contests and surprises. You never know what s next. Movin on down the line is Myrtle Beach Speedway. This is a new event, so stop out and support this new venue. They have a local hometown favorite and recording artist appearing there daily Charlie Floyd. Contests, stunt shows, car displays you name it, they got it! SBBQ is a little bit out there, but it s getting bigger every year. Try your hand at cow tipping! And bull riding, too! Food my favorite subject! T-Bones all you can eat ribs. Applebees has drink specials all day long see both their ads for more info. Next, Hoof-n-Finz, full sit down dinners under the live oak tree a real taste of Southern hospitality. Texas Roadhouse Grill hey, you might see Willie Nelson there (he even has his own seat) especially after eating Betsi s wild cherries who knows what you will see! Robbie Knievel will be hanging out here, so stop by and say Hey! Tattoos stay out of tents, trailers and kitchens. Only clean, sterile shops. Look at the artists work. You have to wear it, not them. The only 2 shops I recommend are Bulldawg and PitBull. Both are clean, sterile shops with great artists. Beaver Bar and Beaver Bar at the County Line have plenty of parking, great food and Southern Hospitality with rocking chairs and the beers are cold and the girls are hot. Serenity House is raffling off a motorcycle and helping families get back on their feet. They are selling tickets at HB Spokes and Myrtle Beach Mall. Be sure to help them out. There are several charities out there, and some of them are bad. Make sure you know where the money goes. BOOST also has tickets for a bike raffle. The money will help promote tourism in the Grand Strand. Rentals if you need to rent a bike, see Eagle Rider. They can hook you up all year round. Breakdowns bummer. See the folks at Wimmer they can get up and running with a full shop and have certified motorcycle mechanics on duty. Don t pay the high dealer prices. Many thanks to Linda for her magic fingers, Thunder for his great maps, Jerry for putting it all together, and last, but not least, to Frank and Jane for getting me out on time. I said for getting me out on time, Frank. Without you guys we don t exist. This is very important, please tell every advertiser that you saw them in the Pocket Guide.
