Big Tujunga Reservoir will be dewatered through dam valves and mechanical pumping. UNIT - Los Angeles River. STATE - California. COUNTY - Los Angeles. Big Tujunga Dam and Maple Canyon are approximately 9 miles up Big Tujunga Canyon Road from Sunland, and 6 miles north of La Canada. Los Angeles County- Big Tujunga Canyon Highway Maintenance Developing Proposal Est. Scoping Start 03/2013 :08/ /2014 Graham Breakwell grahambreakwell@fs.fe d.us An unreinforced wall of 450' length and 20' high is severely eroded by constant water scouring.
