1 1 CHAPTER IV CONCLUSION AND SUGGESTION A. CONCLUSION Tlatar Water Park is one of the potential tourism destinations which become a featured water park in Boyolali. It can be seen from increasing the number of visitors. The potential Tlatar Water Park makes many visitors interested. So, it becomes one of the assets owned by Boyolali which can be developed. It further can be analyzed using 4A components. 4A components includes: attraction, amenity, activity and accessibility. Tlatar Water Park has three main attractions which is interesting for tourist. The attractions are: swimming pool, springs and outbound area. Besides the main attractions, the manager also provides other facilities. Besides the recreational activities, the other activities which can be done in Tlatar Water Park are traditions events. The potential in Tlatar Water Park is also supported with the road condition which is good. The competition in tourism aspect is readily faced by the manager especially DINBUDPAR. There are many efforts which are done by DINBUDPAR in developing Tlatar Water Park. The first effort is cooperation with the 3 rd parties. The second effort is the additions and improvements of the facilities and infrastructure such as: assembling the canopies and adding the MCK. It is expected that it can increase the number of visitors. 29
2 2 In developing of Tlatar Water Park, there are some problems faced by the manager especially by DINBUDPAR. The problems faced by DINBUDPAR are related with limited funds and limited authority. The impact of the limited funds is that manager can only do maintenance and development gradually. Another impact of the limited funds is limited authority. Another problem that is arising is limited land. It happens because the surrounding of Tlatar Water Park is agriculture land owned by local community. Tlatar Water Park has potentials to attract visitors. The potentials are developed under auspices by DINBUDPAR Boyolali. However, in developing Tlatar Water Park, DINBUDPAR faced some problems. The problems hampered the developing of Tlatar Water Park, but the problems can be solved gradually by DINBUDPAR boyolali. So, the developing of Tlatar Water Park is quite good and the potential can still be developed well.
3 3 B. SUGGESTION Based on the conclusion above, there are some suggestions as follows: 1. To DINBUDPAR Boyolali a. DINBUDPAR Boyolali should make cooperation with travel agency to incurred tourist to visit Tlatar Water Park. b. DINBUDPAR Boyolali should increase the promotion especially about Tlatar Water Park. c. It is necessary that the staff of DINBUDPAR Boyolali should be able to speak English. d. Adding the souvenir shop in Tlatar Water Park which sells the special souvenir of Tlatar Water Park. e. Adding the map in entrance for facilitate the tourist. 2. To English Diploma Program a. The institutions can cooperation with other companies or tourism institutions in order to help the students do the job training.
