SDC Trail Target s Administration 1120 S.W. th Ave., Suite OR Dan Saltzman, Commissioner Tel: (03) Fax: (03) Zari Santner, Director Sustaining a healthy park and recreation system to make a great place to live, work and play.
2 Summary SDC Acquisition & Development Charge Plan is growing. By 2020, the city is expected to have over 70,000 new resident and 100,000 new employees. The ---including downtown-- -will grow by over 0%. As more and more people live in the city, the need for green spaces will become all the more important. We all want to enjoy quality parks, and so will s new residents and employees. The proposal for a revised System Development Charge seeks to provide ers with access to parks helping to make a great place to live, work and play. In order to realize that vision, the System Development Charge Acquisition and Development Plan was developed utilizing the goals of the s 2020 Vision as a guide, with direction from plans for park infrastructure, such as the Regional Trails System Plan and park master plans. That information, combined with a thorough analysis of projected growth patterns and taking into consideration access to existing parks, defined the target areas for new parks, natural areas and trails. The following maps detail PP&R s priorities for acquisition, development and restoration of parks, natural areas and trails for SDC revenue through This investment will work hand-in-hand with efforts to secure additional funding from both public and private sources for enhancements to these new parks and trails, thus creating a sustainable parks system that is responsive to s growing and changing population.
