19 Construction of the First Port Corridor of Barranquilla BARRANQUILLA, CORAZON NUEVA LOGISTICO ERA EN EL DEL ATLÁNTICO CARIBE It will connect the Pumarejo Bridge passing through the industrial and port zone with Barranquilla s mayor Ring Road, avoiding trucks enter the city The route will go from The Pumarejo Bridge where will the second driveway behind the free trade zone of barranquillita, until 46 avenue, it will arrive to via 40. 20 The Metropolitan Expressway The Metropolitan Expressway links the municipalities of Malambo, Galapa and the Juan Mina, the town of Puerto Colombia and the village of La Playa. Country: Colombia Investment: USD Employments: 195 POLYUPROTEC is a company of the Metallurgical Sector, which installed the biggest hot-dip galvanization process plant in the Municipality of Malambo, Atlantico. They attend the regional market and exports to the Caribbean countries. Country: Estados Unidos - Colombia Investment: USD Employments: 150 GaviotaSimbac, is a Spain company, will setup a plant for the manufacture of awnings, blinds, tarpaulins and other external aaccessories ventanerias to serve the domestic market and markets of the Caribbean. They developed an extension of its plant, where they will execute the lamination and galvanization process. Also, they will offer a service center for boilers, furnaces and compressors. Country: Colombia Investment: USD Employments: 100 Tecniamsa It is a Colombian Chamber Group company specializing in safety and environmental care in the treatment of special biomedical and industrial waste produced in Barranquilla on the Caribbean Coast. It has a more country and South America large rotary kiln incinerator, created with hand and purely national engineering, and has a capacity to process 1,000 kilograms of hazardous waste per hour, and a safety cell that can store over 2, tonnes of hazardous waste.
