1 -~- ~~ ,, i ; ORDINANCE NO. ~ -' IS ,.-.. ~ -t '' An Ordinance of the City of Los Angeles finding that the public interest, convenience and necessity require the acquisition, and authorizing the condemnation, in fee simple, for airport purposes, of certain parcels of real property situated in the northerly portion of Los Angeles County, and which are located within an area bounded on the north by Avenue M~ on the east by th Street East; on the south 'by an alignment a quarter mile north of Avenue Q, Avenue Q, Palmdale Boulevard, and Avenue P-; and on the west by 1th.. Street East and Air Force Plant, required in connection with the ''Palmdale International Airport,'' also known as the "Palmdale Regional Airport," land acquisition project. THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF LOS ANGEL~S? DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Council of the City of Los Angeles resolves, finds and determines that the public interest, convenience and necessity require the Palmdale International Airport, also known as the Palmdale Regional Airport, project, and the acquisition of property therefor, in fee simple; the project is planned and located in the manner which is most compatible with the greatest public good and the least private injury; and the parcels of real property described herein are necessary for the project. The project is for the construction, -1-

2 ... ~. ~ evslopment and operation of an airport, including, but not limited to, the following: runways, taxiways, loading pads, navigational and landing aids, control towers, roadways, passenger and freight terminal complexes, passenger terminal buildings and related facilities, air freight terminal buildings and related facilities, apron and gate position pavement and related facilities, air carrier maintenance hangars and related facilities, and such other buildings, structures and improvements necessary or convenient to the development of said airport and heliport and for the handling of airline passengers, air mail, air travel and air freight and such other matters as are required in the promotion and accommodation of air commerce, air navigation, air transportation and aviation; said property being located within an area bounded on the north by Avenue M' on the east by th Street East; on the south by an alignment a quarter mile north of Avenue Q, Avenue Q, Palmdale Boulevard, and Avenue P-; and on the west by 1th Street East and Air Force Plant. The parcels of real property described herein are necessary for the project; the parcels of real property have been appraised and an amount has been established it is believed to be just compensation for each parcel of real property, and an offer has been made to the owner or owners of record to acquire each parcel of real property for the full amount of said just compensation. --

The parcels of real property are to be acquired for a public use, to wit: a public airport under the authority of California Government Code Section 00. Section.
