1 Poo-Poo Project Partners As of In 2010, Teton Raptor Center (TRC) a nonprofit raptor education, research and rehabilitation organization located in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, initiated a community-driven project to install 100 rock screens on the ventilation pipes of vault toilets throughout Grand Teton National Park, and Shoshone, Bridger-Teton and Caribou-Targhee National Forests. In 2013, TRC s Poo-Poo Project developed its own screen to prevent wildlife entrapment on a national scale. Poo-Poo Screens are easy to install, affordable, durable and they effectively protect wildlife without compromising vault toilet pipe ventilation. TRC has distributed 10,722 Poo-Poo Screens to 378 partners throughout 50 states and the Virgin Islands. TRC was awarded the Wings Across the Americas Award for Habitat and Partnership from the USDA Forest Service in recognition of the conservation impact and partnership of the Poo-poo Project. We have already achieved our 2017 Poo-Poo Project goals of having a Poo-Poo Project in all 50 States and selling our 10,000 th Poo-Poo Screen.
