We pray this brief informational communication finds you and yours in the best of health and spirits as we prepare to return to Chicago for Saviours Day 2018, our headquarters city. SD 2018 is going to be one of the best SD s we have ever convened. We are back in a changed Chicago, a city that now has the connecting hotels, arena, and convention center to stage a wonderful convention. So many of you liked Rosemont because of the close hotels, hotels in close proximity to our meeting rooms, hotels with excellent rates, and an area that created our own convention Ummah (community). We will have all of this in the new McCormick Place Convention District. Since our last Chicago SD convention at the Hilton Downtown and UIC Center in 2013 (in 2015 we were in our cities), the McCormick Place convention district has grown and acquired new connecting properties. In February we will be at: 1. The brand new Marriott Marquis Hotel (host) that connects to McCormick Place, the Hyatt McCormick, as well as the new Wintrust Arena, our SD Sunday venue, 2. The Hyatt McCormick Place Hotel, a great hotel that connects to McCormick Place, the Marriott Marquis, and the Wintrust Arena via an enclosed sky bridge. 3. The Wintrust Arena, a brand new sports arena that connects via a sky bridge, and the location of our Sunday SD address. 4. McCormick Place Convention Center, the venue for our SD Convention. The McCormick Place Convention District does not have enough hotel rooms for SD, so Allah blessed us to secure a large block of rooms at the Midway Hotel Cluster. We will be using 9 hotels at this cluster, with hotel prices lower than the McCormick connecting hotels. There are many advantages for staying at the Midway Hotel Cluster: 1. There are complimentary shuttle buses from Midway Airport to the hotels in the cluster. 2. Parking is free. 3. All hotels in the cluster have breakfast included in the rates for your children. 4. There is a Residence Inn (apartment type suite with a full kitchen) at the cluster for $145/night, as well as the economical Sleep Inn for $ Economical bus shuttle transportation will be worked out for transportation to/from the cluster to McCormick Place.

2 . 6. With 500 hotel rooms at 9 hotels, all with great prices, the Midway Hotel Cluster will create SD Ummah # 2 (McCormick Place being #1), a SD component we love, desire, and embrace. There is one more hotel very near McCormick Place where we have a room block; it s the South Loop Hotel. The South Loop is: 1. A Black-owned hotel. 2. The closest hotel to McCormick Place that is not connected to McCormick. It s about a 5-minute car ride to McCormick Place. 3. The hotel has free parking. 4. The rooms and hotel are very nice. Additionally, the hotel has a reasonably priced restaurant to satisfy your food needs. The hotel has a restaurant that opens for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; a food and snack market; a food and bar area; and an Asian restaurant with takeout food that is open for lunch and dinner. 6 Midway Cluster Hotels There are 9 quality hotels in the Midway Airport Hotel Cluster. Hotel prices range from $99.00 (Sleep Inn) to $ (Residence Inn). The Midway Cluster block has 445 rooms on peak (Saturday), so select your hotel and stay at the Midway SD Ummah (community). The will be a shuttle Bus service from the Hotel Cluster to McCormick Place. Details of this service will be announced soon. All hotels in the Cluster have free parking and complimentary breakfast. All hotels in the Cluster have complimentary Midway Airport shuttle bus service to & from the hotels. There are many restaurants, grocery stores, and eateries that surround the Midway Cluster Hotels.
