The hotel has an incredible history, dating back to 1071, when it was constructed as a Castle. From 1785 it was used as a prison before closing in 1996 and being converted into a hotel. The prison cells have been transformed into 95 beautifully-designed and well-appointed bedrooms. The hotel offers event space for special occasions including weddings, as well as meeting and conference facilities for up to 215 delegates. It s a stunning spot!
